301 redirect - How long to pass juice

Any of you guys that have 301 redirected a site, how long until the juice passes?

I have a site hovering around 7-8 with DA around 60, and also had site #9, and the site also had a DA of around 60. I 301d the #9 site to my mother site. It's been about two weeks. My site didn't make any jumps at all since. But site I 301d is now ranking in the 100s. I wonder if the juice has passed, or must the site be completely deindexed before the juice will pass?

Longer than it used to... Used to see a 301 swap in days. When I have done them recently it has taken weeks, 2-3 weeks.

I have one bitch-site that I got into #1 position and launched the redirect... over 3 weeks ago and the money site isn't in the top 1000. wacky

Well that's kinda good to know, because I will be really disappointed if it didn't bump me up a couple spots at all.

It takes time, check whether you 301 both www and non www version too.

It was wordpress, so I think non www already redirected to www.

I redirected a website two months ago and it took a week to see the new website in the serps taking the position of the old one.

The weird thing is that after an another week the url of the old one re-appeared and stayed there for 3-4 days.

Anyway, in total I would say that it took approximately 2-3 weeks for the new url to take the link juice of the old one. Of course, thats my experience and it may/should vary from website to website etc.

I dont know if it helps but I submitted both my www and my non www version of the old website on webmaster tools along with the new url. Then I chose the option that the website has been permanenly moved.

In other words, apart from the classic 301 wildcard redirect that I did, I also submitted the redirection to webmaster tools.
