301 Redirect for the new google search update ?

anyone has experience with a double 301 redirect? heard somewhere that it could help with penalties. but i didn't try it out yet.

What happened here? Did you lose all the traffic again shortly after the redirect?
 
If you don't found any penalty then you ready to good to go. As you said you want to create new domain with same niche that's the good point overview. But keep in mind you need to do 301 with proper guidance.
 
Are these all bots responding?

Can someone with actual experience mention what happened in their recovery (if any) after they did a 301. I'm about to do this for a 301 for a new tld for a domain with algorithm penalty but not sure if it will work and if so, for how long
 
A 301 redirect to a new domain transfers the previous domain's SEO value (such as backlinks and authority) to the new one. Then, if Google punished the old site, some of that penalty may carry over to the new domain.
 
Its best to clean up your current site first and address any issues that caused the penalty. If you still feel it's necessary, then consider moving to a new domain.

That’s true, I tested myself
Fix all the problems, refresh the content, add some plus and redirect 301.
You will recover instantly
 
Old domain doesn't pass any penalties... otherwise, all the sites on the net would've been penalised by simply redirecting penalised domains to every single domain.
The problem is that the new domain will most likely penalised for the same reason after next G update.
 
Interesting! How effective is the 301 redirect after the latest Google update? Any case studies to share?
