301 Redirect an Expired Domain - Or restore it?

With an expired domain that has a good back-link profile, should you just 301 redirect it to your money site or should you restore those pages and then place links to your money site?

I typically run a "Fake" money-site on my 301s for around 2 weeks. During this time I flesh out the link profiles with some fresh stuff.

I even go so far as pulling link reports on the expired domain, and building links to those links. I like to try to "Recontextualize" them a bit. (Building relevant anchors, etc, to the original links.)

THEN I 301 it.

I've also had great success doing what you say, and setting up a money-site on an expired domain. I generally do the same thing with the existing backlinks at that time.

Restore the possible sites pages
For each page use it as a full website, insert your link in some or redirect some of it to your some or some internal pages

Either of the 2. You can 301 redirect if have same category to your money site but if you want to restore make sure to check the content in copyscape to avoid issues in DMCA.
