Hello all I was wondering if ti is safe to do a 301 redirect to my personal website with a domain I just bought? relevance is 9/10 to my niche.....if need more to judge let me know and thank you for your time, effort and consideration in this matter.

It is probably safe. But I'm not sure how great of an effect it will have.

I bought a very juicy domain recently that had all of its pages redirected to the root domain of another site. The effect was very minimal and hard to judge if we saw any lift from it. However, with that said, it was probably a 4 out of 10 when it came to relevance.

On the other hand, I've previously permanently redirected and consolidate two domains to one of my better performing sites and saw a huge lift in rankings and traffic (over 300%). The relevance was a 10/10. Instead of doing a blanket redirect of all the pages to the root domain, I mapped all of the URLs very carefully to the most relevant pages. I also performed a backlink clean up/disavow on both domains, and spaced them out by about 3 months apart. The link equity that they both passed was very high.

I always err on the side of caution, but if the domain is highly relevant and you make sure its backlink profile is clean, you'll probably be ok. Worst case scenario is Penguin 4 ignores the links, or an even worse case scenario would be a manual action that would be easy to clean up with a removal of the redirect and disavow the link/domain. Even with an algorithmic penalty, you should be able to identify it and clean it up easily.

Good luck.

So should i recreate the whole site and then redirect the individual pages to the relevance on mine? or what would be best I just have the archive content now......

301 is not as good as it's used to be. And tbh nothing is safe when you're using it to manipulate the serp. I'd rather rebuild it as a PBN.

IMO, it is safe to 301 redirect if it's niche related and you are sure it has a clean backlink profile.

Yes 301 is still used by everyone for redirection and maintaining the rank.

Is it also safe to do multiple 301 redirects to your moneysite? All are 100 % niche related and have a clean backlink profile.

If the site that you have recently purchased has a good link profile (no spam and nothing funny), then you can surely 301 redirect it to your main site, and it should add some value or metrics value to your existing site accordingly.
In fact, if the domain you've bought has good TF, it can even channel the TF score to your existing site, it's akin to adding your site's authority a little more in the process.

Thanks, man!

Things vary with niches, but you can try and see how it works then come back here and share your success perhaps?
