So I have seen several threads lately where people are complaining that they can't post comments on a lot of WordPress blogs for building backlinks to their site.

A lot of you maybe already know the reason why but for those of you who don't the reason is 99% of the time that your url/domain/email used for the comments have been banned by the anti-spam plugin called Akismet.

If you comment a lot on free hosted WordPress.com blogs then you will most likely get yourself banned much faster since (from what I've been informed) Akismet the anti-spam plugin is activated by default.

If you have got yourself banned by Akismet then there is a very cheap and easy work-around for the problem. Get yourself a domain! I recommend you get a cheap .info domain (like $2 at G0Daddy) then point it to wherever you host then setup a 301 redirect which redirects to your money site. Then you just use this domain for your comment-backlink-building!

A 301 redirect is something called a permanent redirect and is the only redirect type that passes G00gle link juice. You will loose a little bit of link juice in the redirect but I guess you just compensate that by building a little bit more.

I have tested this technique myself several times now in the past weeks and its working very well - I have seen jumps in the SERPs. I have even tested if I need to use my desired keyword as anchor text for the link linking to the 301 domain or if I could just link whatever word. The answer is I could just link whatever word. Link just needs to be ******** link and you have tight onsite optimization.

The 301 redirect technique also works good if you have a "real" company website which can't really be seen doing blackhat backlink building like commenting on WP blogs using ScrapeBox or Xrumer forum profile blasts.

I hope I was able to help some people with this info.

I Always thought this was the case. I never took the time to see the effect of multiple domains 301 to the same homepage though.

Now you know!

If anybody has any questions fire away. Pick my brain! :D

great info

how about using a free domain like .co.cc

it saves you the $2 :P

I guess free domain would work just as good as long as you can make a 301 redirect. However with free domains I guess the domain could get pulled away from you at anytime me personally those kind of things will go straight in to the back of my head.

How 310 redirect is different from normal redirect? And why Akismet does not blocks the redirected domain and only block the domain where site is hosted?

Thanks

301 redirect is permanent redirect, so google will transfter any link juice from the current domain to the final destination

in contrast, a normal redirect will not have the same function

I tried this a while back and only got 1 comment through before being blocked again. I was even reading the posts and making relevant comments.

I would sometimes even quote the post in my comment, I wonder if that is a bad idea.

Did you use the same email address and posting from the same ip as before? I would recommend you post with proxies and that you get your proxies exchanged after you got your domain banned. Also make sure you use a new email.

I used a different email address but the same ip address. However, I could still leave comments if using a different site to link to with the comment username.

So for instance, I had my money site related to the viagra niche and I created a random domain like viagraonlinenow.info and I spammed the crap out of it. Would the 301 redirect pass the anchor text as well to the domain or just the link juice? Thanks for the help

I am not convinced this will allow you to post comments that "end up" linking to a banned domain. Since google can see the 301, who is to say akismet cannot!

I have done a bit of link building the other way. Created a domain solely for posting, blasted it out until akismet had enough, waited a few days, and then 301ed it to my money site.

It doesnt work any better than other methods, but it does give you piece of mind that your clients/companys/your own money site is not going to be blacklisted for commenting by yourself, or even genuine comments by customers/fans.

It is only then I would ping and RSS submit to get the backlinks indexed.

Hey there. First off if you work in the viagra niche I would strongly recommend you to not get a "301 domain" containing the word viagra since its very often a banned word and which will result you wont be able to submit your comment.

To be honest I am not 100% if it passes the anchor text as well as link juice. However I know it passes link juice and helps me get ranked for the keywords I have targeted with my onsite optimization.

Maybe Akismet can see the 301 to a banned domain. If it does see the 301 it doesn't not act on it since I was successful in posting my comments.

Thansk for the tip , the link juice will pass agreed , but still it would be a single backlink correct?

Why would you build backlinks for someone else?

What do you mean with building backlinks for someone else? I am explaining here how you can build backlinks
for your sites through WordPress blogs even if you have got your money site banned by akismet.

Someone asked about building backlinks to (using) bit.ly which is not his site.

UPDATE:

Not sure if is working for everyone, I tested 4 days ago blasting succesfully 2000-3000 blogs, Yahoo Site Explorer is showing +6000 backlinks but no effect in SERPs. From this point of view is frustrating because one of the comtetitors is blasting directly the money site and is doing far better than me. For me the nofollow 301 redirected links don't have any effect but for him the blasts directly to the money site are doing wonders.

one question... how many approved comments/links per redirected url?

5.000, 10.000 ? blasted once? during a few weeks?
