OK so I just noticed that my page got the three week notice..

The old:"You must confirm this Page's affiliation with the brand, company, person or entity that it represents....yadda yadda..." notice.

Just a few of questions, if somebody wouldn't mind helping me.

What happens at the end of the three weeks?
I mean, is this like a 21 day deadline or is that just approximate?
If I set up a site or a blog as an official website, will this be manual checked or computer verified?

Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

LOL you tried to setup official site for some one else... No doubt they are pissed...

What you can loose...
1) you can loose domain name
2) you can get hosting account suspended
3) you can get lawsuite against you
4) You may have to pay hefty penalty (depends upon whose official site you started)

I have not tried to set up an official site for anyone, its just a humourous facebook fanpage that Ive had for about 12 months.

Hey bro Your fan page reached 20k fans, thats why facebook ask for fan page authenticity.

You can easily authenticate fan page if you have any website related to fan page. You can post a link to your facebook fan page from your website and submit the whole info to facebook. within 1 to 2 weeks this restriction will be removed.

If you will not authenticate your fan page, then you will loose publish right and updates from your fan page.

authenticate - THAT NEVER WORKED FOR ME infact.. Or you publishing rights will be disabled.

- Doesn't work, even with large websites. If its not a business name they will just block it.

Are you guys saying every fan page over 20K will have publishing rights removed unless it's linked to a business?

I have had over 20k for about a year. In fact I have had over 500k for over a year. I currently have over 900k and the notice has only just popped up on my screen but my fellow admin says hes been seeing it for 6 months!!

seems like you ahve been lucky in this case.....

It is because his fan pages are old. FB is apparently yanking publishing rights or just deleting the fan page altogether if you do not represent a real company/corporation. IMHO, the fan page scene is now a hit it and quit it type deal, and it has been this way for a while.
