Not sure where to post this but since I'm looking for advice on how to monetize I'm posting here.

As the title states I'm ranking well for my search term, which is the brand name of a specific cpa product.

My question is what should I do now to help bring home some bacon???

A couple questions for you:

Are you making decent profits from it thus far?
Are you at your wits end with trying to get more backlinks for the site?

If you answer yes for both you could always start a new site for a new product and expand your market. It's never good to have all your income in only one spot and tomorrow that product could be gone. You seem to know the basics, so my two cents would be for you to start a new site.

@ TermsB - 1) I'm not making any profits. Its only been there a couple days. I don't have any backlinks and have been told I need them to help retain that position.

The product is Acai-related. My page is just an article posted at a site big G likes and has my affiliate link at the end. That's it.

To be honest I was just trying out some SEO stuff and didn't expect any results.

Someone told me today they're making a few hundred a day on the same product so I thought I should see what I could do to try and replicate that success.
 
just wait and see if your ranking are still on page 1. sometimes you initially get a good rank but then you landup somewhere on page 2-3. if its consistent traffic try other acai berry products if 1 doesn't convert for you
 
Working on some backlink solutions now.
 
Bookmark the page and get some solid PR5,6, 7 backlinks to avoid dropping out. Acai is always competative, keep that in mind :)

Did some bookmarks with places like Digg, etc. and 4 targeted forum posts yesterday. Could only post the direct link in one forum but made reference to the page in others.

Had my first sale yesterday so maybe these steps were helpful.

Position has dropped to 4th place on page one but holding steady for now. I'm seeing new pages so it looks like more people are trying to rank.

Is your keyword having any traffic? Just wondering..
 
My keyword (exact product name) has almost no traffic so yeah that's a big issue lol.

According to the cpa network its a new offering so I didn't expect much traffic now, just thought I'd jump on it early. Again, mostly I was just experimenting with SEO techniques (never did anything with SEO before).

I suppose now I can make the effort to hold position and see if the product gets popular. Maybe do what little I can do promote it.

The people who are making money with this now are doing PPC (seems to me).
