Hello folks!

I was wondering if this section is for offline business of any kind or it's for offline Marketing business (as the section name says...).

Thing is I'd like to know about offline business ideas.

I'll start sharing with you my ideas and I'd really appreciate some of your owns :)

1- Money lending. This I've been doing for a while now. The money lenders here ask for a 20%, so that's what I've been asking. The overall experience is good. You just have to be very careful when you're going to lend your money. Ask for some token or at least, be sure the person have a stable income with which repay you. Another good tip here is to make partnership with people who lends money big time. E.G: a friend of mine has his money lent, $1000, he is associated with some people he knows... apparently they have many connections, because he talk me about lending $5000 and so... He's a long time friend and also has been in money lending for long time, so I dont think he's telling me lies.

2- Buying and selling cars: I made a partnership with a friend who buys and sells car. He has been in this biz for 3 years. So I thought it would be a good opportunity to join him. This year we have bought 3 cars. Of course, you have to be patient and look for some nice bargains. Since he has put the most part (I put 1/4 of the price cos I dont have that much money yet to invest) the profits havent been so awesome.. yet :)

3- Buying some nice and cheap watches on internet: I bought like 25 watches for $96. Thing is Idk very well how or where to sell em. I have sold 5 already and with 3 more sellings I will get back my $96 and the rest will be profit. Any ideas where to sell em??

What other good ideas could you share?? I'll be glad to know em :)

Cheers!

Where are you from, that you are just allowed to lend money without proper authority? Or do you have all the paperwork sorted out?

Some people are more comfortable with offline businesses. I have been trying to break into IM for a few years now because it's where the future lies.

I still make much more offline than online but my IRL biz is suffering. (I've also lost interest due to difficulties in the industry!)

The forum is primarily online but I don't see any harm in posting offline stuff because it gives people other ideas and opportunities, you can incorporate these ideas with IM stuff such as selling on eBay/Amazon etc.

The money lending stuff is a bit risky in many countries as you are required (Here in the UK anyway) to be licensed to offer credit facilities. I'm pretty sure it will be the case in most developed countries. I certainly wouldn't consider that route myself and anyone considering it should seek legal guidance.

Best way for real setup is buying wholesale stuff offline and sell it online.

Ah yes, it's always been profitable to be a loan shark.

Money lending; sounds like a real nightmare waiting to happen, unless you have a very well worked out operation, or you’re a gangster :-)

Money lending is one of the ways to exploit poor people in India. In my village powerful rich guys give money for about 10% monthly interest. Poor people have to take this money for purposes like marriage. I have seen selling their lands later to these lenders. Really very bad situation for them.

or you’re a gangster

You're talking about making partnerships with people who "lends money big time" and have "many connections", yet, you're talking low numbers and you say you don't even have much money in the first place...
You're not in the lending industry. Quit bullshitting...

The $1 watch reselling seems more believable...

Hello bro!

Yes, it can be risky and a nigthmare. In the first months I started, a woman didnt repay me after 2 or 3 successful loans. The 4th or 3rd she didnt repay. But it helped me to be more aware. That was the only time I had a bad experience with money lending, because after that I always asked for a token or just people of my trust.

Money lending is one of the ways to exploit poor people in India. In my village powerful rich guys give money for about 10% monthly interest. Poor people have to take this money for purposes like marriage. I have seen selling their lands later to these lenders. Really very bad situation for them.

Oh, thats too bad.

I've learned something that is obvious rn to me, but it wasn't obvious when I lent to the woman I talked about above. It's: Only lend to people who can repay.

Wow, nice discovery, right??

What I mean with this is that I learned that the safest loans are the ones you make to people who can repay but in the meantime they dont have the money. The best and most profitable experience I had was the next one:

An old dude needed money to his business, but the money he was going to received from the goverment was like 2 or 3 months ahead... and since he was an acquatiance of a friend of mine and had good reputation, my friend told me that he will repay. Plus he gave me a token, so I feel more safe lending him money. So I did it and after 3 or 4 months he repaid me my money and every month he paid me the interests.

You're talking about making partnerships with people who "lends money big time" and have "many connections", yet, you're talking low numbers and you say you don't even have much money in the first place...

Quit bullshitting? Are you describing yourself or what dude? Why dont you ask for a better explanation if you dont understand something?

I will explain a bit more to lighten your bitterness:

Money big time and many connections: The $5000 I talked about was from a friend of him (my friend) who made a partnership with the people who DO lend more money, now I realized I didnt explain about the $5000. The $1000 are of my friend who is also alligned with the people that lends more. That's the point I'm making, that if you have some money, $1K, $5K,$100 or whatever, you can make a partnership with people who lend more money... because they know many people and manage more money than this. Idk how much that people lend, but if they can put $5000 to work and successfully receive earnings of that money, then they should know what they're doing...

And I'm not in partnership with them, I'm on my own. I said **Another good tip here is to make partnership with people who lends money big time**. And that's just that, a tip or advice. Based on the experience of my friend and the friend of him.

Why I am not in partnership with them, before you ask? Well, most of my money is in the buying and selling car stuff, just like that. I'm considering to make the partnership with them in the future though, after I've saved more money from the other business I described above and from my lending money on my own.

I don't have any reason to bullshit people like you said. I just want to know more and new ideas and I thought that in order to people share their experience with me it seems reasonable that I share my experience with them first.

English is not even my native language so write all of this stuff takes me some time and I wont be wasting my time talking about stuff I dont really do just for fun or even less to impress anybody because I dont know anyone here and you dont know me neither so there's no point on me elaborating fancy stories.

I was going to look into this but to many hopes and red tape to go through. Although I seen an investment group where you put money in with others to"a" "b" or "c" borrowers and get interest back depending on the risk you take. Upto 15% I believe.

On another note though if offline business ideas. Buying from classified sites and reselling, or going to auctions and reselling. I've bought from auction a few times and sold campers or construction items. Always made money with it.

This doesn't make sense. OP, why not pick one business and focus?

The watch business seem really weird IMO
