3 Months cPanel Hosting for $0.80

So, found this offer in another community and signed up. Seemed pretty good and thought might help someone who is starting.

NOTE: I am not affiliated with them in anyway.

They have $1/3 months, but was doing some due diligence, as them seem to be new, I found another link, which is $0.80, so posting that here.

EDIT: The title shows it's $1, but it's $0.80 inside, so don't know why is that. At least that's what I paid myself.

It's better to take regular backups when you get such a cheap hosting. Some of these companies disappear without a trace if their marketing strategy fails.

I agree. Always host sites that aren't important, at least till we gain some trust.

But the over experience with them in the past week has been good to me. Maybe, they are new and still have low traffic load on their servers. I am using them to host some LPs with WP for now.

Yeap indeed. And keep a constant check you never know when its down.

I once hosted my WordPress site in such a hosting when my site had Google penalty. It was just to avoid server errors while I try to revoke the manual action. My site also had minimal traffic so I thought it's enough. When I checked after 15 days, my site is gone. Their website was active but support is dead, and their social media pages disappeared. After a few days, everything is gone like it never existed. Luckily, I had a backup through Updraft Plus.

yeah, a years a go I bought this hosting from shady company on warriorforum. They disappeared without any trace

Yeah, it happens a lot. I have experienced it with 2 hosts here on BHW itself. The bad thing is, I was having reseller hosting with both of them with whitelabel on request and bam, all my clients' sites were gone as well.

So, gotta be careful.

ouch! That's one of my worst nightmares (people depending on me and me letting them down without ever being my fault. Not many will understand and I can't stomach their reactions)...

Anyway, how did you deal with it?? What did you tell to those people? And how many of them believed you?

Fortunately, I was not the one who developed the sites, but my VA. I was mind blocked for a couple of days ignoring to reply them, but suddenly flashed that I got the backup and restored everything, apologized them all and offered them free extension of hosting to compensate and this time lesson learnt and went after a reliable host.

It's more than 3 years though, so that's all forgotten and the clients are still sticking and are happy.

If $5-10 a month is too expensive, then you won't be able to find an excuse now!

And yeah, I believe you that lesson learnt, this is gut-wrenching experience for some folks. I genuinely don't know how I would have coped with this had I been in your spot....

Thanks for the share... and for the reminder of how important backups are. Maybe one day I'll move my lazy ass to the drawer to pull the external drive I have and make a copy of all of my websites. Maybe...

I agree with you. The shared hosting is just to start. Once you are up and running, I would always suggest to learn the basics and shift to VPS. A $5 VPS with a decent enough configuration along with a free panel like hestia control panel, which I use is more than enough. But, when you are scaling and growing, it's mandatory that you scale everything, including the resources. Scaling should always be parallel, if one want to continue growing.

Now, I am completely in to VPS' and waiting to grow and have dedis.

Posted this only for those who are just starting. And, I will say it again. Always keep a backup. It's easy to do yourself, if your hosts don't offer it or charge for it.

Try to get it done at least once every 2-3 days. It should be hard to cover a couple of days' work, if you sacrifice a weekend.

Just search online to know how to do it.
