3 Month Old Domain PR10???

While surfing around, I was surprised to fall on to this:

a 3 Month old domain that is a PR10 with an INFO extension.

I have checked to see if that PR is faked but can find no trace or proof of this being faked...

Can anybody advise on what is happening here?

Yes, you did find proof that the PR is faked
 
LOL and made with Artisteer. I think it's Matt Cutts new website and he's 301'd google.com
 
was that the one for sale on dp marketplace? I saw yesterday someone was selling a PR10 domain on there, but didn't list the URL.
 
Google, Facebook, Piwiki, India.gov.in and U of Cali all used to be PR 10 but as far as I am concerned the only remaining PR 10 is:

Even PR 9 is rare now a days

I am sure that is fake and I have no doubts about that. I was just wondering how this has been done!
 
THey do a 301 redirect, then remove it.
Usually there is some type of footprint left, but not for this one.
If ever buying anything over a PR3, always check the backlinks, start with opensiteexplorer.org. A PR10 will have a value of 99-100 I'm sure. I think 8s are around 90. And should have 100k+ links.
 
Although its faked it does look crazy on my toolbar at PR10. Maybe it's a Nigerian sales website? :)

yeah but opensiteexplorer.org takes 30 days to update its data but still it doesn't show any page authority or domain authority
 
The site is 3 months 30 days old and it has very limited links. I think someone did a 301 on it with a PR10 website. Its PR will eventually go down on the next G update.

If it's a high PR established site 30 days won;t matter. If it;s a fake PR, then I guess yes 30 days will matter in it;s stats.
 
It may be a PR10, but he is going to get deindexed.

He is using duplicate content.

He also does not know anything about onpage SEO, so his PR is irrelevant.
 
Goes without saying that the PR10 is fake, even if its been cleverly faked you just need to look at the obvious facts... 3 months old, poor website, poor on-seo, limited link profile and whoever faked it was stupid enough to think PR10 was believable
 
It might also have been a dropped domain and the person is trying to maintain its PR10. However, I think he or she will be unsuccessful for maintaining its current PR since the person is using duplicate contents.
 
Yes I found MANY pr2-3 sites on flippa and domains are new (not drops) and only 2 weeks old. Not a single backlink anywhere. LMAO. Funny thing is fake checkers won't detect it once it's not redirected so don't rely on those. Several I use said PR valid. LMAO oh sure it is. Brand new domain, 2 weeks old and PR2 without an indexed page or a single backlink.

You'd think if they were going to redirect and fake it they'd at least pick a pr4 or pr 5 site. Oh well those sellers won't last long when buyers get the sites and a few weeks they drop to N/A. Many are probably members here - good luck to you. You can fool some but you can't fool all. Those you scam will cost you your account - trust me. Better to make real pr2-3 sites in a month or two and sell without a worry of being caught selling fake pr sites. Some have very short term visions.
