So 2checkout decided to integrate with paypal, instead of taking payments independently. Now if we choose 2checkout as payment option, we are taken to paypal where we are forced to login with paypal. If not, we are given a choice to pay with credit card but here comes the catch: Even if we decide to do "guest checkout" paying with credit/debit card, we need to pay the paypal fees-just as if we used to pay while using and login to paypal.

Why in the world we need to pay paypal fees when we are checking out with a credit card/2checkout?

This is a day time robbery and shows how novice 2checkout is which collaborated with paypal thinking it will do good to their business but instead it is going to hurt them very badly.

I am not going to use 2checkout in future ever.

So if 2checkout redirects to PayPal, what is the point of having it then?

That's upto site owners to switch. I was just making a purchase online
PayPal needs a good competing platform.

Paypal already has good competitors but what sucks is people trust them as it is back of their hand

Exactly my point. Have a look at the screenshot:

Why not use something like Revolut? I change my digital card whenever I make a purchase, hate using a credit/debit online with everything that is going on.

with revolut-plus? can you send money to revolut with cc from any country?

Jeez, not to mention PayPal jacking up their pricing fees a couple months ago.

I mean it's available in EU, US and bunch of other countries. It's quite simple, you send money to the app and then it creates a digital card for you, once you have made the purchase the funds are deducted and the card is destroyed, therefore if someone gets your card details they won't be able to get any money from you since the digital card has already been destroyed. Quite handy if you ask me also Im not promoting this product, this is a well-known and popular solution in the fintech industry. ;)

When they think they are the No. 1 - be it Flippa, fiverr or Paypal; then they start to dictate terms thinking they are the ultimate boss but they don't realize that it does not take much time turning from riches to rags.

There are always many good startups waiting for a chance to take over the market shares when the big brothers get carried away.

I wish this day comes earlier.

Revolut isn't available in all countries. 2checkout is very popular payment method but will no longer be liked by most of them as they associated with paypal now.

You are so right, I lost $29 on a charge for an Amazon seller subscription fee I never used, all because I was an excited newbie at Internet Marketing who would put my credit card details into any site. Lesson learned. VCC's are superior online.

Probably need to cancel that credit card also, will not like a new surprise charge.
