Were the lists opt-in and the emails legit (can spam compliant)?
 
I'll try to answer all questions in one post:

Emails were not opt-in. They were from lists that didn't generate complaints though.

Mailing was not can spam compliant as my details weren't shown but I did provide an opt-out option which recipients used.

All domains are good for mailing except for .info and .cc

I recommend using a VPS that can hold 10 copies of interspire with 2GB of RAM and 2 processors.

I've been asked a lot which hosting company I used. I will check with the forum admins and with the host if I can write it down here.

On cPanel you have a section that called Email Authentication". That is where you can turn on SPF and Domainkeys for your hosted domain. When your email carry SPF and Domainkeys signatures they seem more trustworthy to spam filters. It is highly important if you want to reach inbox and cPanel does all the work for you. All you have to do is turn it on
 
Hey blade, what kind of thing are you saying in the email to get good conversions?
 
Well the most important part is the 2 Euro/Dollar/GBP that they give for free when you open an account so that converts really well into free players and they do the rest of the retention.
 
I'd like to know what host you used to spam as I'd like to do something similar with the old e-mails I have.
 
I used a bp host to mail. My mailing didn't generate ANY complaints though. The hosting is currently down for an upgrade that will take a few days but I will gladly post a link here once its up again.
