Harro - I have a 1971, Rickenbacker bass sitting here next to me for when I need to relax. It's the rare blonde stereo model, original everything (except for the case). I shudder to think what it would be worth these days - but I could never part with it, it's one of the few links back to the days when I was cool lol. Hell, I even have some pics somewhere of Krist Novaselic having a jam with it during soundcheck when we played with Nirvana at their Melbourne, Australia shows all those years ago.

The funny thing about playing with Nirvana is that Kurt was so smacked out that he was non sensical. His guitar tech cracked the sh*ts and spent 20 minutes yelling at him for some reason I could never work out. Dave and Krist were damn cool though. Certainly something to tell the kiddies about one day though.

I better stop before I get all nostalgic and pull out all the old vinyl and cd's lol, and bore my wife with tales of sharing Pizza with Rollins, hanging out with the Ramones in New York back in 88 (probably about the time half the people here were born). Losing a push up contest to Iggy or all that shit. And to think these days I'm a fat, balding, middle class guy with a wife and two kids
