I have around $2500 which I am looking to invest in IM in the hopes of creating some passive income.

I have gained some general knowledge regarding Internet Marketing, SEO, PPC Affiliate sites etc from browsing sites like BHW and other related blogs over the past few years, however, I do not have the programming/coding knowledge to undertake a project on my own, and more importantly I do not have the free time needed to make a project in this area truly successful as I already have a full time job.

However, I am fully aware of the potential revenue a competent site with the right amount of investment can generate.

If you were in my situation how would you invest this money?

A Joint Venture with an experienced IM'er?

Purchase a site that is already making a small amount of money?

Is $2500 even enough to invest and see sizeable returns?

BTW - I am not looking for an overnight success story. I am aware that IM takes much time, patience and work before you start seeing returns, I would be in this for the long haul.

Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

Yes 2500 is more then enough to make alot of money back. But expect to fail alot. So don't invest it all in one project

FB ads + cloaking for niches not allowed on FB. Trust me, this is as good as it gets and is churn-burn.

Any ideas on what type of project I can get involved in?

Seo maybe. Ranking a site. You don't need much. $400 maybe.

Maybe do aliexpress + shopify + fb ads
You would need maybe 150 per site to see if it's successful.

That's all I can think of right now

Rank and bank site is best in my opinion. If you need help PM me or add me on skype guantanamoba

See the problem is I do not have the technical knowledge to set this correctly or the time (full time job).

Would hiring a freelancer to do all of the set up work be worthwhile? Would they really 'give it their all' in terms of marketing and driving traffic to the site if they were already getting paid for the work?

Traffic Arbitrage =)
I started with $750

But really you can do a few things, but as already advised be ready to fail so don't invest everything right away and be patient

Well for the e-commerce it doesn't take a lot of time.
Finding a product: 1 hour
Store setup : 2 hours
Fb ads setup :1 hour
Fb ads changes split testing : 30 minutes daily

I appreciate your replies

Are you saying set up a shopify store with only product for sale?

I guess it would have to be an in demand product to see any real returns? Do you then drop ship via Aliexpress, or do you direct the sale to the Aliexpress seller?

You can start a new one if you want... just get a high DA backlink from a editorial site or do some SEO. Rank and bank

An ecommerce site? With a drop shipped product? Is that where you see the returns?

Do your own research, mate. Market research is #1 step to making money online. Nobody can tell you where to invest, otherwise everyone else who has 2.5k will do the same. Only you can research what others are doing and do better than them.

If you want true long term i would reccomend buying some micro niche sites from sellers here. Just start with a couple, then pay someone to do on-page seo for you and buy a GOOD link package, like some web 2.0 chains(or some quality pbn links once you feel confident you understand pbns)

Heres the formula:
Find low comp keyword (or pay someone to)
Make a site about keyword
Make onpage seo perfect
Build backlinks or pay for them
Add a new post every week(preferably targeting other niche related low comp kws)
Add more links
Make money

Also, like the other people said, dont throw all your money out at once. Start with a budget of 300 or so and once you have something workinh, scale it up.

So drive traffic to your shopify store to fb ads. When you get a sale. You buy it from aliexpress to the buyers house.
The reason this is awesome is once you see that maybe you spend $5 on fb ads and you make $10. You invest $50 and get 100 or $500 and get $1000

Get 1 main product that you want to advertise then add a few products as fillere
