Seems like there's a massive Google update again. I'm noticing many keyword ranking fluctuations. Some of my long time competitors even got wiped out completely.

https://www.semrush.com/sensor/Semrush is showing 6.4 (orange)

This just amplified the results from the previous few updates - authority websites are ranking for everything, even irrelevant pages. It just makes no sense now. They would rather rank authority sites with irrelevant content than a non-authority site with relevant content. For example, say a health product called ABC that cures acne.... In the past, if you google ABC, you would see relevant sites discussing or making reviews about the particular brand product ABC. But now if you google for the product name ABC it shows authority websites like WebMD on how to treat acne. It makes no sense. Like some have said, just proof that big G are pushing webmasters to their Adwords platform.

Please post your observations or if you got affected.

Things haven't entirely stopped shuffling around ever since the core update, from what I've seen.

This is just their spam update. They increased priority for authority and backlinks. It's easier than ever to rank on Google. Get an expired domain and buy hell lot of backlinks from authority sites. Now you can rank anything on SERPs if you have enough budget.

Seeing some movements, I think now google is becoming more walled garden, so need to be a big authority to get in.

Ok, this is getting weird. I just did a keyword rank check again and most of the rankings have returned. But when I refresh it an hour later, it is shifted again.

Seems like there's something going on today.

I’m not getting much fluctuation in ranking or visits today. Will keep an eye out

My main site is getting roasted. Traffic is down by over 50%. The weird thing is that Semrush shows that the site is gaining more traffic, while in reality I'm loosing a shit ton of traffic. Don't know what's happening.

The bad news is that I can't find out what these updates are actually about,
back in days, it was just too obvious to get fixed in a couple of hours,
nowadays, you'll have to just focus to make everything alright and let google do its things
