I've always kept my FL settings conservative. Today I was comment blocked for 24 hours.

Settings:
120-170 comments a day (spintax comments, over 3k variations)
300 Follow
600 Likes

Any idea how I possibly was banned with these simple settings?! I also had a captcha (noticed my first one a week ago, so I upped my delays). My delays are 62-72 seconds with 5 minute intervals and shuffled tasks.

Update: just tried commenting and now it's commenting just fine. I don't get it?!

Update 2: Now my comments are blocked again (showing 22 hours remaining)

how can can I prevent this? The error mentioned something about 'being abusive' lol

Is this the message you get? http://i.imgur.com/I62CEsL.jpg

If yes, literally just don't comment at all for at least 24 hours. Don't even try until 24 hours from the last comment you've done. I've been suffering this comment block for days and now I've finally realized that's what you need to do.

No, mine says this:

"Action Blocked

Based on previous use of this feature, your account has been temporarily blocked from taking this action. This block will expire in 22 hours. We restrict certain content and actions to protect our community. Tell us if you think we made a mistake."

Likes and follows still work fine!

Oh then I guess just wait for 22 hours? And maybe wait an additional day before you begin spamming again.

Instagram implemented a new security algorithm like 2-3 months ago, which bans you if you post repeating comments.

So, make sure you have a good amount of comments or use spintax to make sure they're not repeating the same comments.

In my experience, I just let the account sit for 3-4 days.

Then I start commenting/liking with slower delays before upping it to my normal settings.

I currently have 6 sentences that have 8,000 spintax combinations. 3 or 4 of those sentences only have about 120 combinations though. I guess I need to go rewrite them all and create a good 15 different sentences and 15k+ combos. Ive been using the same sentences now for a month.

Sit as in completely do nothing? Or do you still follow and like in small amounts? Just wondering since I'm planning on making a ton of new accounts and I'm thinking of following and liking a small amount for a week and then slowly easing into commenting. But if it's better to have no activity at all then ill do that instead. Thanks!

I don't think that's the problem as that's a very large number of comments. I commented with literally 4 unique comments for months with no issues at all. By the way, what are you using to allow you to see how many possible combinations there are? Thanks :)

Are you commenting a link or with a username in the comments?

Did you try your spintax in that link? It tells you how many variants possible or you wanted something different?

No links, no usernames. Just basic sentences such as 'Really digging your pics. Its giving me the motivation I need to hit it hard today! :)'

I used simple math to calculate how many variations are in my comments. Its easy...

I also got this ban on all accounts today...

I was commenting every 20 minutes, around 7/8 comments each time (25 to 35 sec delay) with about 15 different variations of comments with different accounts..

I guess they upped there comment security :/

I will wait 24 hours and try to add more comment variation and up my delay then to see if they comment ban me again..

Interesting, thanks for sharing. This morning I've been working on my spintax comments. So far I've created 3 comments that have a combined total of about 50,000 different variations. I plan to create a couple more comments and get closer to the 75-80k different range.

Currently my delays are 62-72 seconds, which I plan to bump up to 1.5-2 mins each with 120 comments max/day. I'll report back with my results in a couple days.

Cool, that should be safer. Thanks for the update. I'll see if I can increase my delays even more.. there must be some way to beat these new restrictions.

Increasing the delays is definitely the best way to prevent bans. When I was starting out, the FL support told me to lower my delays to absolute minimum, which I didn't really liked. I run FL 24/7 and there's no point finishing all the tasks within 3 hours, and spend the rest 21 hours doing nothing. So I changed my delays and increased them by a lot, and also increased the amount of following/liking and so far it's working good.
