This year, I tested a bunch of AI optimised guest posts, and honestly, the ranking jumps were way better than expected, especially when paired with diversified support links.

But what do you think will be the top performer next year?
  • GP relevance?
  • Edits?
  • Brand signals?
  • More AI driven content strategies?
  • any other?

Yeah, AI definitely shifts the game. For 2026, I'm putting my money on demonstrating real expertise and trustworthiness. Content that's genuinely helpful and shows real experience, plus that human touch in the 'edits', will be crucial. Brand signals, meaning how recognized and trusted you are by users, will probably be huge. AI should be used to improve content quality and audience understanding, not just for volume.
 
In 2026 top SEO performers will combine highly relevant, intent focused content, AI assisted but human edited quality, strong brand signals, diverse contextual backlinks, and good user experience EEAT. Quick AI guest post spikes work short term, but sustainable rankings favor strategy and quality over automation alone.

Your results show that diversified support links worked, therefore my recommendation is to keep trying different things until you find what works to scale and establish authority. Prioritizing relevance and brand signals should be your first priority for next year. Carefully include AI-driven content strategies, making sure to edit the content to maintain its high-quality.
 
Publishing AI contents directly without checking up with facts will only invite Google hammer later.
 
I’d bet brand signals + super-relevant topical clusters win next year, and GP Also

Raw AI is still a trap. I’m seeing sites get hit not because they used AI, but because the content has zero human support or evidence @Akinyande ayo.

What do you think will matter more in 2026, brand authority signals (search volume, mentions, trust) or hyper relevant topical links?
 
I think the sites that build a real brand plus get a few very relevant links will win more than all the heavy AI tricks.
 
At some point,... AI search engines will be forced to reward content creators when using their content in summaries or bullet points. Just keep doing your thing as always and keep waiting…
 
In 2026, the biggest wins will likely come from strong topical relevance brand signal, supported by high-quality AI-optimized content and natural link diversification.
 
In my opinion, the links that will win in 2026 are the ones that combine relevance + trust signals. AI content is getting better, but Google still relies heavily on context and site quality, so guest posts and edits that actually match the topic will probably stay strong.

Brand signals also seem to matter more every year — Google likes seeing a site mentioned across different platforms, not just in backlink lists. AI can help create support content, but the real power comes from placing links on pages that already have activity and make sense for the niche.
