[2023 BHW Indexer Study Update]

Unfortunately I haven't had much success with Linkdexing recently, so I'm going to try the other 2.

@Steptoe do you have any idea on which kind of methods each service uses to rank?

For reasons nobody will understand I am looking for a kind of "aggressive" indexer.
I've used linkdexing in the past and they got my pages indexed through what was likely API, but what I require is some kind of push from social (twitter, youtube, etc) rather than a soft indexing.

Do you know if any of these services use these kind of methods?

The only working indexers I know of are either link based or multiple Google API automations, or a combination of both. I don't know of any service that leverages social media.

anyone can suggest a good indexing service for parasite urls (forum posts, profile links etc.)? linkdexing havent been working properly for me for the past week after latest google update

Study Update July 2023

There have been a couple of new indexing services added to the lineup in the BHW marketplace over the last few months, so I thought I'd better put them through their paces and update this study with the results I get.

The two new services are:

UltimateIndexing
- https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/u...-working-service-up-to-90-indexation.1489569/
LinkIndexing - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/l...-potential-of-your-backlinks-in-2023.1507779/

As in the initial study, I created 2 sets of orphaned profiles on 4 different domains. These domains have multiple pages indexed, and anyone can register on them. The profiles include 500+ words of gibberish content.

I'm checking indexing as before with both the site: and cache: operators, with a red cross indicating no result shown on Google, a green tick indicating the page was displayed on Google. So ✅❌ would indicate that the url was found with a site: operator but not a cache: operator. No drip-feeding was selected, I went for whatever 'immediate indexing' option each service had.

The first 2 weeks of results!

Additional observations

UltimateIndexing was the quickest to index I've seen so far in this study. They at least partially use backlinks as part of their indexing process, with a few donor pages found via Ahrefs. Their service was able to index pdf files in 1 day, appearing on both site: and cache: searches.

LinkIndexing is at least partially a Linkdexing reseller. Every set of links I've sent to LinkIndexing have turned up on one of the domains that Linkdexing uses for indexing purposes. I've verified this with the Linkdexing owner/admin.

Conclusion

It's always good to have new options to turn to when facing indexing issues, let's hope the services in the BHW marketplace continue to work and adapt to new challenges.

Nice study. Do link indexers today have any effect on ranking of pages? Or are they used solely for indexing...

Well, the page needs to be in the index in order to be ranked, so they CAN play a role. However if the page you want to be ranked is on your 'money site' it will ideally get indexed through internal linking. Sending a money site page to an indexer won't harm it per se, but it's like putting a bandaid on a punctured aorta - you're better off diagnosing and treating the root cause of why a page on your main site isn't getting indexed.

I just imagined that whatever method is used for crawling and indexing, it should have some effect (positive of course, if it had any negative effect no one would use it) on ranking as well. Because to "force" crawling and indexing on a page, involves in something that will make this page "stand out" in comparison to other pages. Of course indexing alone is a crucial part in ranking, but there is a general belief that it's better to get pages indexed faster (even if you know that without an indexer the page will probably show up in a few days-weeks).

It a good idea to test it. Take pages (maybe from the same domain) - 1 is indexed with an indexer, 1 is left to get naturally indexed, while both pages go through the same link building, internal linking etc (so the only difference is that the first was also indexed faster with an indexer).

From my experience a lot of indexing services leverage a combination of the Google indexing API and backlinks on highly-spidered websites. The use of the API gets fast indexing but is only really meant for short-lived content such as job postings, so it's effect is usually only temporary. The backlinks should help with propping the indexing up, but many find that the backlinks get removed after a few weeks.

Your idea for the test sounds interesting but there are a few too many variables for my liking, I'll let someone else conduct that study ;)

Four Weeks Update for New Services

We've past the 4 week mark for the test on the two new indexing services listed a few posts up, here are the results:

Lots of cache: hits, no site: hits. I have a feeling the site: operator is becoming less and less useful.

I'm following your updates please make this monthly to save us costs, a lot of these indexers are dead and yet still taking non refundable payments .

So what does this cache and site hit means? Seems Linkidexing is performing better unlike your first week test?

This won't be a monthly thing. I may update again this year if we get a few more services launched on BHW.

The site: and cache: methodology for determining indexing status is detailed in the first post here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/2023-bhw-indexer-study-update.1485254/#post-16232144

Thank you very much for including our service in your review - we had no idea this was going on!

We would be grateful if at some point you could PM us with your report urls so that we can review them & continue to improve our service.

We aim to get 100% indexing all the time but of course that is not always possible.
