Hi,

I just came across an article about the prediction of the social media trends on 2017. The article talk about new applications instead of the 360° video platforms. In addition they are talking about the death of twitter and explaining some new long term social media strategies that may rock on 2017! You can read the full article here .

Well, good reading, but they talk about the death of twitter every year.
I think Facebook, SnapChat, Twitter, Instagram are here to stay a few more years.

Yeah Absolutely but I think Twitter model is getting bad marks! and as the article describe Twitter is for influencers not for brands, it's just a simple way to express opinions.

I'm with @imweirdo.

The death of Twitter is on plate since a long time and we yet to see this happen. Twitter is not your regular social network, where you network with your peers, it never was. It evolved into a pretty good news platform throughout the years and plenty of its users use it like that. It's mostly about what's happening right now (near you or anywhere in the world), in this regard it's still unbeatable.

Periscope will continue to grow, but also since this new Instagram Live Video Update, we might see increase of usage of Instagram.
