2014/2015 SEO strategy for own software

I'm software developer and I just testing AdWords for my new software, unfortunately bounce rate is very high (90%), conversion rate = 0 (visitor -> sell, CTR 5%-7%).


I was doing SEO back in 2011/2012 with great success (based on BHW help :>), now I just trying to figure out if I should spend any time on SEO in 2014/2015....

I have issue with my time as I have a lot of products to develop and already I have a queue of software which I want to develop, meaning is that I start preparing my marketing strategy:

-PPC (so far, so bad)
-Email marketing (in past I had fairly good conversion)
-Forum marketing (on BHW and other sites as software is develop to help in social marketing)
-Social marketing (already start getting traffic using my software, but it needs time to develop, plus Google main keywords has a lot of traffic)



I was thinking about buying some old domain and using it as main domain (or buying old domain and doing 301 -> current brand new domain)...

I planned to created 20-40 buffer sites using free web 2.0 sites, high quality articles, tier2 SeNuke/GSA/etc., tier3 SB/Xrumer


Would it work in 2014/2015 ???

Keywords aren't too difficult as there is no much competition (only few other development companies created something in that field).

I won't be going too much into the details, but my software strong sides are much easier creation of auto work, no limits (competition is web based and is using API with API limits), one time fee (competition monthly).

I developed it mainly because I wanted to develop something quick and easy to use in order to grow my social network.

Of course, your site will definitely move up when you redirect the aged domain and build links via those buffers. But there's no guarantee that your site will rank on page 1. If it doesn't hit page after building those links, buy some high PR backlinks from the marketplace.
