$2000/mo Membership Site Using Offline Marketing

Take a look at Paypal payment under MERCHANT and you'll find a CREATE BUTTONS then look in the list for SUBSCRIBE. Here you can delay payment. State $0 for length of days you wish and then amount you wish to have at the end of trial period. Paypal will automatically bill them.

My apologies for not being more clear on this.

For those of you who PM'd me -- I should have stated that towards the bottom of the page you'll see something that says, "Offer a trial to your subscribers ". Tick the box and it will drop down for more options.

Check the drop down boxes to list when you want the trial to end. 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, etc...

Again, my apologies for not being more clear on this.

seems like alot of leg work - when you can just hit your send button and watch the cash roll in...but if it makes you money GO FOR IT!

I believe there may be one small fallacy with the thinking on this. It's being assumed that the $10 is where the profit is. In this case, it's just the qualifier.

I love the discussion.

Please understand that I am not advocating a $10 membership. I always test $19, $29, $39 memberships. Not enough meat on those bones with $10... but with that being said again the market will tell me what works. I've seen tests where 29 outpulled 19 simply based on that they thought the implied value was.

Unfortunately many of the tests suggested will never be done by many since we are an impatient bunch and just want to get to the money part.

Agreed that lead boxes for some are more "sales" oriented than the cardcue idea... but its suggested to help get the creative ideas flowing...

heck NO ONE has mentioned one idea we use which is to get a piggyback insert included in the Utilities bill... or a cheaper variation using the newspaper
1) find out who has a "sponge worthy" route (ala Seinfeld). This maybe the area you like and know has the type of prospect to reach. Find the guy(s) and offer them side money to slide in inserts in the papers in their route. They know which houses to skip since maybe their boss or co-worker lives there...

OR

2) go to 10 high traffic newspaper stands (the coin boxes) and pull out the 25-50 papers and insert your insert yourself... take those papers tpo the next box and trade them out with the newly inserted version... you've got your own distribution. It helps to have someone else doing the inserts for the next group of papers while you deliver the "updated versions".

Think outside the box...

running with for guerilla biz card distribution...
insert them into the pages of a relevant (demograpically targeted) books, magazine or newspaper (mentioned above) 'on the sly' in large chain bookstores, airports, coffee shops, waiting lounges
(then send some cards to your most trusted buddies in other cities to spread a few more for you)

works fairly well until you get caught and escorted from the bookstore... geez that was an embarrasing day LOL

I'm going to design the front of my card as a credit card and leave my card on the ground here and there. It's guaranteed someone will pick them up each time :)

I've read this thread several times, and I can't get this idea out of my head. Thank you so much for sharing!

I LOVE this site!!!!

haha and then get pissed when it ISNT a credit card.

.. although you could market it like that.. credit card..=free money, your site almost like free money!! haha.
I just fortified your idea!

I think they'd probably keep it, not really pissed. Either way I think most people (especially not IM people) would think it's clever and keep it - for whatever purpose.

I ordered 5k biz cards for one of my offline sites. Gonna borrow that credit card idea on the next run.

5000 Full color front, black and white back for around $60 US with shipping. Just put out 50 tear off fliers on one street tonight. Have 10 large format posters in the streets too. Going hard in the paint with the offline marketing.

Hows the song go? Everything is big when your living in the city? Or bambambambambambmabmabmambmabm 'everyday i'm hustling hustling hustlin'..."

My VistaPrint cards came, they aint too bad. Kinda dissapointed at their quality but they were pretty cheap. Gonna try another "supplier" next time:

Gonna spread them around and let you know how it goes :)

Hi

Very interesting thread, but I have one question regarding the website: is it marketed as an online business/marketing school? Or as an online wealth centre? Or is there another angle?

I'm currently in the process of thinking of a domain name for my take on this idea, and I was wondering what marketing angle you guys approached it from?

Thanks!

nice logo...really like it... is it your company logo??

what do the m's stand for

That looks like the Maverick Money Makers logo. Is that really what you're promoting, InfoPIP?

Most likely...

Offline like this can work well even if you don't have a website hosted. Find a good product, register a domain and redirect to affiliate product, print up nice cards and flyers and hit the streets.

$110,324 a month is on the MMM site as well as on his card...

InfoPIP, hope you plan to share results. I live in WV near Pittsburgh, am I competition?

edit haha nevermind! i was about to say i googled that but found something else and couldnt find that logo, but there is a site with the exxact same addy except this has an 's' on the end of makers haha

I've thought about promoting someone else's membership site (possibly wealthy affiliate, or some other noob friendly place) that pays residuals. Then I get the benefit of recurring income coupled with a total lack of support required on my part.
