I'd actually thought of suggesting this site as I know the guys that own the CardCues site, did alot of the design work for them...if anybody is interested in using them, I can see if I can get some sort of discount for you guys. Just a thought...

I think this is a great idea honestly..

I am hoping to have great success with my site.

I think using Vbulletin and locking the sections might work to organize everything, and there's a slew of useful tools you can use for it too, including membership.

I'll be using amember script I've used it in the past and It has a feature that allows me to integrate my linkpoint merchant account very easily.

If anyone else is doing the same thing as the thread starter maybe we could bounce ideas of each other and possibly share some of the same content.

I use Wordpress with a plugin that only lets registered users view the site. It's a magazine theme and works great. I create 'contributor' accounts for outsourced daily articles and news updates. The users accounts are created and deleted manually. I even have 'Welcome therename' when they sign in. Works a charm.

But what are people using for biz card and sales page.. a short sales page would work best right?

I might start a private forum on this subject if people would be interested PM me.

Yeah - there's tons of solutions for the membership site. You could even create a standard website and then create the username and password in cPanel. These 'offline' clients won't mind waiting 24 hours while you manually create there login and password.

WPWishlist is another one.

Just went through VistaPrint's "FREE" service. By the end of it, i was on about 40 quid for like 200 cards.

An awesome way to set these up is Fantasos + Aweber + Paypal/Clickbank. That's what i use and i can add coupons, dynamic pricing etc. Love it! Everything automated.

Fantasos is expensive though but you can get hosted copy for $27 a month i thnk.

Or, aMember is great. Havent used it for a while though.

Well yeah - with an affiliate scheme you could expand this on a HUGE scale.

Why not promote something like Maverick Money Makers with this idea. They pay you $40 a month per referrer, produce "better than PLR quality" material (debatable) and probably convert at higher rate than your sites.

I dont recommend Maverick Money Makers because it was created by a past scammer but something similiar would work, no? Save you the hassle of creating your own site etc.

Would be a good start at least.

The site is designed to be viral so yes there's a lot of word of mouth. However, contrary to how may others define viral this is all organic. Allowing people to do what they do naturally.

Meaning there's no hype, no bonuses, no rewards, no affiliation, etc... As anyone who runs an affiliate program will tell you 90% or more of those who sign up to be an affiliate never do anything. Mostly because it's not "natural". I implement marketing techniques that allow my members to tell others in a "natural" way. A lot more effective.

As for the ebooks, videos, etc... I have either resell or license or some other arrangement to provide these to my members. You probably have a hard drive full of this stuff. The difference is that I ensure that the info I provide my members is high quality and not simply crap to give them just so I have something to give them.

The site is created to funnel sales to you. I have complete control over what content, the order of the content and the frequency of the content. This isn't accomplished with either membership or WP or Joombla.

It's important to understand your market niche and the way they think. Sure you could throw up a website using WP etc.. but you lose control. Control is critically important to higher conversion rates.

This is about creating a sales funnel, having credibilty and the trust of your niche. You have to provide them what they want in the way they want rather than what you want to provide them.

The reason most sales people and websites fail is because they don't take the time to understand their niche and what their niche wants. Instead they try to sell their niche what they want to sell them and the way they want to sell them. This is the reason for low conversion rates.

Think of it this way, suppose you wanted a blue dress shirt. You walk into my store and all I have are green flannel shirts. It would be harder for me to sell you a green flannel shirt when what you REALLY want is a blue dress shirt. I'm probably not going to make the sale. But if instead I know that you're looking for a blue dress shirt before you get to my store -- I can order blue dress shirts in your size -- and I am more likely to make a sale.
