You are always ready to assist others. You will continue to grow in knowledge and wisdom sir.

I really appreciate.

Thanks a lot for the mails. I can't thank you enough for this method :)

Anyone having issues importing contacts, convert txt file to csv using MS Excel or Openoffice. Also, make sure your first line in CSV is "email" without quote else gmail will give error.

DO NOT ADD THESE DIRECTLY TO LINKEDIN, IMPORT THEM TO YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER CONTACT LIST THEN SYNC THEM WITH LINKEDIN.

I've attempted uploading these contacts using differing Gmail accounts and different Linkedin accounts, both resulting in Linkedin saying that they couldn't upload my contacts at the time. In my last attempts I only uploaded 2k to see if that would remedy the situation and I still received the same reply. Any idea what I could be missing? My steps were Upload 2k contacts to Gmail > create linkedin with this gmail account > use the Linkedin link provided in the original post > upload contacts , resulting in the error. Any insight you could provide would be great. Thanks

Same for me. I broke the list down into sections of 500. Tried to import to Linkedin from gmail, outlook and aol. Same error each time.

Make sure that "Email" is in the first cell above the first email address, this resolved the issue for me.,

Thanks but I don't have any issues getting the contacts loaded into gmail/outlook/aol. The issue is importing from there to Linkedin.

Thanks for this. Really appreciate all the shared contact emails for this.

So I was able to successfully get it into my Google Contacts but once I try to load it into LinkedIn to connect only ~1000 connections were found to send invites too. Anyone experiencing a similar issue?

What to expect: So far after 24 hours I have about 600+ new connections. I also have had about 20 solicitations over DMs for business services. Some were actually useful from what I could tell and some were a bit annoying. Multilevel marketing schemes and stuff. I think if you know all that going into it and are cautious and okay with both scenarios, it can open you up to some cool possible opportunities.

Anyone help please? So I've tried this method today and am getting this message when tried to import contacts from gmail to linkedin

Gmail worked for me. I have over 3500 invites sent out - let's see what is coming back :)

So, for anyone expereincing problems, here's what I did:

1. Copied the list and took it over to Notepad++.
2. Pasted the list in a new .txt document.
3. Press Crtl + H.
4. This screen comes up. Type "\r" in the "find what" field.
5. Put a comma in the "replace with" field.
6. In the "search mode" panel on the bottom, make sure "Extended" is selected. The click replace all. Make sure to put on comma on the very last line of the text file.

However: If you're out of invitations, this won't work. So, here's what I did to get around that:

1. Log in to an aged g-mail account that's connected to your Linkedin.
2. Go to Contacts.google.com and export your contacts list as a CSV file.
3. Open the CSV file and paste all of the emails from this list above to the column "E-mail 1 - Value", which looks like:

4. Save the CSV file and head back over to Contacts.google.com and import your newly saved CSV file.
5. Now go back over to Linkedin and attempt to send invites via the gmail contacts option.

I followed these steps a few weeks ago and this is what I got:

Good luck and happy invites!
