I have a personal 20 year old personal domain. It has no backlinks and zero metrics (TF, PA, etc.)

what is the best use of this 20 year old domain? I should make it real and treat it like a PBN and create backlinks to my business site?

how beneficial is a 20 year old domain in impacting serp results?

Sorry to rain on your parade, but age of the domain has zero impact on SEO. It's the age of the content that matters and if your domain has no backlinks at all, just age, well... you can find thousands of domains like that online. Absolutely zero added value above fresh domain.

How useful is a website registered yesterday for the first time, with no backlinks?

thanks - that is what I thought...

If it had good content and already was indexed then you are on fire. But it was empty, you should sell it with high price by using the myth ;)

you can buy plenty of them for no money ... so it has no worth.
do whatever you want

With that in mind, the most profitable thing to do with your 20 year old domain would be to jack the price up to like $5,000 and sell it to someone who doesn't know any better. Just tell them you're a guru.

Yeh. And after you rip someone for $5K, die of brain cancer. World would be a better place without people like that.

As Nargil said - there is no SEO value in your domain, but at least you can use it as a money site, because for 20 years old domain is very likely to bypass Sandbox.

sandbox? thats another myth which was proven multiple times that it doesnt exist and site I made 1 year ago is perfect example of it

This is not a myth but a reality. How do you think Google is fighting with fly by night sites? Anyone can register a domain and start accepting credit cards. And what will happen if these sites can be ranked on Top of G. in a matter of days? I don't say the scam can be stopped this way, but at least is reduced. Also not all sites are affected by Sandbox. There are many factors involved in the process and the website niche is one of them. Just try to rank a PayDay Loans or Viagra website on a new domain and you will see what I'm talking about.

I was never in payday loan or viagra niche so I dont know, but if it is seriously niche specific then its not sandbox more likely spam-protector of some kind that is in place in niches like these. Also can u show me some kind of proof of someone actually ranking a site on top of profitable keyword (at least 1000search+) in matter of days? I doubt this is possible across all niches and google.com

Exactly - it is not possible. You can call it "spam filter" , "sandbox" ot whatever you like, but definitely is not a myth. The fastest Google Top 5 results I have achieved (with new domain) is 1 month, but on foreign language with relatively low competition. On the other hand - for UK sites with very high competition I need between 4 - 6 months for the same results.

Domain age without aged links is no good but you could use it as a money site and build links to it for a good juice.
