My ultimate goal is to get to $1000 per day and I have been reading about authority sites, affiliate sites, list building, amazon sales... I know a little about a lot of things. It was actually this thread (I can't post the link) that convinced me to take action.
I asked napster via skype if he thought a rookie could make any money with his sites. I was obviously looking for someone to hold my hand a bit as I moved forward. He and I struck a deal. He is going to tell me step by step what to do with these sites and I will post a journey thread for the next noobie thinking about his sites, or anyone else that wants to see what the results look like.
Oh, and as part of the deal I had to get 10 sites. He does offer a bulk discount and I did get that, I purchased ten of his omega sites and let him know that I could only dedicate two hours per day to the sites.
Yesterday he delivered the first two of the ten sites, of course I am heading out of town Monday so my two hours a day will be waiting until Thursday.
Here is what I have:
site 1.
twitter and facebook, no followers or fans yet (he is working on adding them now and as of today there are a few for each)
PR3
15 years old (and 48 days)
SEOMoz authority 26
site 2
twitter and fb identical
PR 3
8 years and 7 days
SEOMoz authority 22
An unexpected bonus for each site was a spreadsheet not only of the targetted keywords, but the relevant articles within the site for those keywords.
I bought hosting over at hostgator for the sites and am in the process of transferring them (will be done tomorrow morning the kids get all my time on the weekends)
I have an adsense account but was thinking I would try and apply with a second for these accounts as I want to start moving everything under a different gmail account used solely for IM work. I will ad the code and apply for the account the end of this week when I get back in town.
The first step in SEO according to napster is to start submitting to directories and I will work on that the end of this week as well. I have ranked sites for my other business before but never had any reason behind my activities other than "i have heard about article directories let me try that" For these sites, this journey and the deal with napster I am going to do exactly what he says and anything else I do I will ask him about.
The goal is to get the sites consistently profitable and then flip them to someone else that might want to look at monetizing through other sources or increasing the traffic and make 20k in 90 days from them. To that end everything done to and for the sites will be done with the thought process that a potential buyer will be looking hard at traffic sources, etc.
