I've finally bought Scrapebox and watched the tutorials, and I'm excited to start dominating more markets.

However, I do have 2 quick questions.

1)Is there any other service that offers 10 private proxies per month for cheaper prices than that of yourprivateproxy.com which is recommended by scrapebox itself?

Code:
http://www.yourprivateproxy.com/

2)If I use the custom footprint and put one of my competitors website, example http://competitor-site.com/ then select Yahoo, and start harvesting I get about 900 sites back (after removing duplicates, etc). Now my question is this:

When I'm choosing to comment, which blog type do I choose? Do I choose wordpress, movable, or blogengine? OR, do I select wordpress first and Scrapebox will comment on all of those, then use the same url list that's harvested from the custom footprint then select blog engine, then it comments those, then lastly select movable and scrapebox auto detects and comments those as well?

I'm just a little confused since if you do custom footprint, I don't know what type of blogs it's harvesting, and therefore what blogs I should select for commenting.

I've seen some of the proxy services on bhw and they either don't do scrapebox or they are really expensive.

And my 2nd question, I can't find the answer anywhere. I've contacted their support as well, but maybe some BHW users know the answer.

For your 2nd question - Get the blog analyzer addon and then use export to wordpress, blogengine, etc...

search for the user "unr3al" he has a thread where he offers a proxy service at a cheaper rate than the ones you mentioned.

david wright,

Yeah I've already talked with him, he doesn't allow his proxies to be used for commenting feature in scrapebox.

all i do for that is put in the footprint like such "link:hxxp://competetor.com" and then select the type of blog I want when harvesting, I might be using it wrong though.

I can't remember which proxy providers still allow sbox usage. Have you looked at jammo (aka proxygo's) proxiecentral forum? And/or his tutorial on finding proxies? He posted it in the last few days.

There's also a few really informative sticky threads in the proxies forum by apekillape about leeching, etc., if you haven't seen those.

just scrape some proxy, or take on internet, test it, there is always few of them alive and good enoguht for me to use

i have try to blast over thousand of blog without any problem

Anyone know why when I check url page rank it says status "dead proxies"?

I've checked the proxies in the manage proxies section and they are all green and working.

I'm using both free and private ones.

I ran through a list of 12k url's and then it says "dead proxies" after that, what's the problem?

When you tested the proxies, did you run the goog test on them or just the IP test? Just an educated guess that you may have used the latest version's default, which I don't think runs the goog test because some people were confused by it and crap.

gregstereo,

I have about 10,000 urls in the "slow commenter accurate mode" and when it says success it shows a green "submitted", but when I manually go on the site my comment is not there.

The slow commenter takes a very long time, and it has taken about 10 minutes to do about 75, and there's 10,000 urls.

Do you recommend that I just remove all those url's because they aren't working that well considering how it says "submitted" in green and not "posted"?

I'm always conflicted about the slow commenter because it's so....well...slow lol. It's very accurately named. Yes, it takes a long time, esp. with accurate mode, but IMHO if you have machine cycles to burn it's worth it. You can get some decent backlinks on sites that aren't too crapped up with other people's comments....

And as far as going to the site and not seeing your comment there, remember that a) it can take time for comments to show up, and b) cookies on your local machine can sometimes give you false results when you view sites you have commented to, and c) sbox is just reporting whether the POST was successful, you can use the Check Links feature later to see if you're backlink gets dropped successfully. I usually wait at least a day or two before ever checking for links, and I don't ever do it manually - I just use one of various apps (including the ScrapeBox) to check them.

A question about the proxies.

what about using like att or verizon air card? And just change the ip address every x amount of minutes?

I tried something similar awhile and the problems I ran into with that are:

a - changing every x minutes doesn't always beat the bannination, and
b - since you're usually coming from the same C-block of IP's, it doesn't really give you that much IP diversity, again leading to the banning and the itching and the burning...oh wait the last two symptoms were something else....

That is gross as shit, and totally makes sense, LOL. Thanks.

I use my wireless card for everything else, and I am lucky and still have an altel with unlimited everything. I think I can get a couple of c-blocks of IP's, but pretty much all the same, so that sucks.

Thanks for the quick answer.

For me I don't choose, i just leave it at custom and search later I will analyze the links with the addon then organized them then run them through poster.

What list do people use for the "ping mode" because the default sites with the ping are not really ping sites.
