1- I bought a domain that is 4 years old, it shows on both ahrefs & majestic that it was 12 backlinks (6 when I first bought it, +6 after I purchased and made a couple links) however I just checked the majesticSEO historic index and this domain has 6k backlinks 2-4 years ago from 200 domains, but since it only shows 12 backlinks atm in both Majestic seo & ahrefs then all those links were either removed or died right? If so, if the website had some kind of penalization due to the 6k backlinks since they're all removed it should be clean right now or not?

2- I bought 1 week ago, currently has 12 articles all 500-1000 words long, all indexed, however none of them are in Top 50 for VERY VERY easy keywords with 100-500 monthly searches tops, only the homepage & category urls are ranking in top 50-100 but not the post itself, is this normal? Already sent pings + social shares in facebook, twitter & G+ (1 on each since I made account for the website brand) and on some of them even made a couple relevant/contextual backlinks.

ps: I know it can take several weeks for stuff to rank but I find it odd the kws not being in top 50, especially the categories being the first ones to show up and not the actual posts. I have ~1% keyword density in each article , always 500+ words, always 1-3 images per article with alt + description + title.

Edit:
3- Can the noodp tag from yoast SEO cause things to lose rankings or whatever?

Historic links may still exist, just check them to verify. As for articles not ranking, noindex category and tag pages, perhaps they are eating away your post rankings.

You must pay to be able to check the historic links.

I heard BassTrackerBoats and Hekke never Noindex them and they never had this problem, I also don't use tags.

In answer to #1:

Unless it was a really popular site then links from 200 domains sounds like they were created by some "unnatural means". Probably also explains why they have been lost. There is a high likelihood that if this domain was spammed it could have received a penalty. What do the historic backlinks look like? Spam or good quality?

#2:

How long ago was the content published? In my experience though a keyword would normally enter Top 100 within 2-3 weeks. Sometimes the home page ranks first, then the articles. Not usually category pages though.
