I can only speak for myself. My main page started out with about 35k followers before I started to sell shoutouts and promos. I got up to almost 80k before my page was reported and suspended by some hater.
Anyway I made a new one with a similar screen name and grew my page to 10k before I offered promo. Because people remember my initial page i still get business. I'm at 27k now since OCT.
I would reccomend making a backup page with a similar name.
It is possible to make money selling shoutouts but you need to be following relevant pages (preferably bigger pages similar to yours). Give out free shoutouts to people helps attract potential new customers. Quality content and consistency is the key
