Hey

Do you guys know of any website or app that provides a second phone line to my existing cell phone? In other words, im trying to run two phone numbers on one cell phone (instead of carrying two phones). One number is personal and the second line i want for business purposes. I deal with clients/customers on daily basis and would like to separate work from personal. So if you know anything, i would greatly appreciate your help.

Just FYI: I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and reside in California(USA)

Thanks in advance,
Dmitriy

I think Korean versions of the high end phones have a dual sim, or you can get an "adapter" that will turn your single sim into a dual sim. But I'm not sure if it will be supported on the software level.

Samsung and nokia have several dual sims here in india . You seem to be new in this concept
Some chinese models have 4 sims .

You can get a Google Voice Number as a second number to your cell, but if you call someone it will always come from your cell number.

I would suggest that you forward calls from work to personal or vice versa. I have a landline (work) which i forward to my cell phone (personal). Makes it look like ive an office which i don't

Use G voice or similar service and have it forward the calls to your cell phone. Simple.

Better buy a dual sim phone. I think there is no way you can use two phone line using apps or website..

Thanks a lot for the replies. I was debating this and i think i will just buy me a cheap prepaid ($15 per month from Walmart) phone and use that for work. Another reason is that battery longevity on my Galaxy S3 sucks and has to be charged every three hours when using continuously. Its a common issue with these phones. So i think having a second phone would probably make sense in my case...
Anyways, thanks again for your input and i greatly appreciate your opinions.

I use talkatone on my Ipod....if they have talkatone for android, you could do that. (it uses Google voice)

Or get google voice number--forward it to your cell--and it would ring your main number--but others would view it as your business number. (i think you could even have option of seeing that it was coming from your G-voice number--so if it was late/business related, you could not answer.

I have a service that can do that, we can create a full phone menu system too, so they can press 1 for on info. Or press 2 to speak with a representative. And direct the call to your cell phone. And we can make it a toll free number if you like. My site is smsdock.com But I can give you a free trail if you like.

i india we also have 5-sim phones [ next year we will be able to see 6 ]

hello check out the app "line 2" it allows you to place calls from your own ported in line. The service is 9.95 per month. I currently have it with the galaxy s3. They are working out bugs related to the s3 but still a great app

Plenty of dual-sim phones available from Samsung and HTC or use a number forwarding service like Phone.com

Get a dual sim phone with dual standby mode. They come pretty cheap (get an Indian or Chinese one for near about $30)..

Guys, look into VOIP. Buy some numbers that forward to your mobile. Much cheaper and less hassle.
