2 Pages Competing For The Same Keywords

Hey guys

On my site, I have a product page and a review article on this product.

The review article has been ranking for some of the keywords that I've been wanting to rank for the product page. This is most probably due to it having it more content and inclusion of LSIs / longtails.

Is there a way for me to get the product page to rank higher for these keywords instead of the review post?

This,
it will pass some link juice from your review to product page, but still not guaranteed to work if the review have better on-page seo and more backlinks

I have actually to pass the link juice. But it's hard to try and out rank the review page due to the longer word count. Google is seeing it as the better page compared to the product page.

Thats the game,
You eithet try to manipulate the SERPs with backlinks + more content for the product page or deindex the review page

You can put the review in the bottom of the product page, and put a rel canonical in the review that points to the product page. This way you will avoid this cannibalization. Also you could simply do a 301 from the review to the product page. It's simpler this way. It's a bad idea to rank for two sites at the same time. Also don't forget that if currently the review page is ranking higher, the product won't substitute this immediately, probably taking a long time to stabilize things.
