Need Some Help! Right

1.) How often does G's PR update run? I always hear of it, but never a time frame? So i'm guessing it's quite random?

and

2.) Do you get shat on PR wise, for having dupe content?

I'm just trying to get a PR 3-4 site as quick as possible then just sell it on, but i've never really had to take PR into account before so not too sure on all of this!

Guess i'll payan extra $200 or so and get some proper stuff written.

Should be a investment though!

about once a quarter is right with PR updates. You'll defiantely need a good lick of backlinks and try to avoid duplicated content if you want to get to PR3 - 4 quickly though. Most new sites I have took about a year to reach 4 but I know of others who have done it sooner with good backlink quantities with "properly themed" sites as yours. Good luck...

Google has no fixed time frame for pr update. It does it in about 2-3 months most of times.

Duplicate content is problem for new sites. If you domain is old you can get some duplicate content mixed with original content.

usually it is every 3 months but it has also happened that it took over 6 months, and we are talking about the toolbar PR here

I'm guessing it'll take about 9 months, i don't really mind that timeframe too much. I'm going to be back linking every day and have a nice bidget for writers too, so content shouldn't be too bad.

Just wish it wasn't 3 months as its too long to see if an approach works!

How often should i be publishing content to get it to PR3-4? I'd of thought eveery day was abit excessive, but if thats required, it has to be done i guess ...

Well, I'm going to go against the herd on this one. How you may ask?

A friend of mine started a site and the niche he's in is 100% based on duplicate content. The site was started in May and the domain had not been registered since 2003 or 2004. 90% of the backlinks came from social bookmarking and the others came from 2 unique articles distributed to 100's of article sites.

Page Rank as of the last update (around Sept. 28/08) = PR 3

So in my opinion, they did what everyone on this thread seems to say can't be done.

Just my 2 cents.

3 months or so per update kinda, It is basically so random but I do know that they do not update every week or every month it is usually per 3-4 month basis and not only that sometimes they do an update after 4 months and then just after a week do update it again.. That is why it is always good idea to wait for a while before buying any domains after an update.

PS - If you have pr2+ and 5 years old I will buy them all from you.. cheers

I recommend starting off with one article a day and then gradually add more, just don't let the site become stale
