We are planing online festival and we need to be findable on Google just by festival name. After 2-3 months there is no need to keep the brand living. We don't have any name yet - it mostly depends on your tips. There is one goal - be findable wordwide just by searching the name. I am on Black Hat SEO forum, so I am open to ANY tips...

It all depends on what you need. Focus a lot on Event Schema because events rank extremely well. Also choose a weird name, don't choose something like "Happy Festival" because you are not going to rank in your life with such name unless you put a ton of money on that SEO strategy.

But if you put something like Owakalaka Festival (and people remember how to type Owakalaka, this is important) then you will rank #1 in 1 week with easy for such name.

I am web developer but not so experienced in SEO. Is there any platform I can check if Owakalaka Festival will have potencial to be easy ranked?

Just put the name in Google with some quotes and see if there are any matches with the name. Something like: "Owakalaka festival"

Okay thank you. What will be next steps I should invest to. Backlinks? If I understand right, black SEO methods is good for short term action because you get soon penalization. Is 2 months short from this perspective or you will recommend me to stay in white zone?

Purchase PBN home links exclusively. This period is too low for anything else. It's somewhat weird because this is what I advertise in my signature, but this is what it takes for this fortunately or unfortunatelly.

And don't be cheap on which PBN you purchase, $100/mo minimum per link. Better purchase 2 or 3 top links than a ton. Also consider HARO to advertise your festival for free which could somewhat easy (music magazines will be eager to make some info about this)

Also, start building some content as soon as possible. The sooner it's indexed on Google, the better for linkbuilding.

to see if the name is taken. do a search on google and see if anything shows up for it " festival name" just like that if nothing shows up for it in exact match
and the domain is free
Your good to go

Thank you both guys. Will definitely take a look at mentioned PBN links.

Do you think it is good idea to buy some expired domail like www.*******festival.com or it will make a mess in Google search results?

And how long after building complete website it takes for Google, when I can start promoting the name

Buy a domain name with the festival name, use same name as title of website.
Publish the site and content. Send good quality links.

Press release and all publications on local news websites, I assume it's a local festival.

While doing this, incorporate social media marketing specifically, Facebook page and Twitter page.

The more unique your festival name and domain name is, the more likely you'll take number 1 easily.

apart from the great tips that you've already gotten I would also recommend running Press Releases for 1-2 months before the festival starts, just to give enough time to these PRs to work their magic (spread the word far and wide). It will probably be expensive, yes, but festivals is extremely news-worthy content, so it will work great for you.

And come to think of it, if the event is local (as in, it's going to take place in the offline world) you could also run ads and TV / radio spots in your local media outlets. And you can take it 1 step further by running advertising campaigns in Google / FB ads (for local events social media promotion is a godsend)

EDIT: oh, I just noticed that you said "online festival"... Oh well, this leaves local advertising out of the question, but you can still run PRs and PPC advertising just as successfully
