I noticed that when you buy/acquire a guest post, there is usually the possibiity to add a 2nd link to the same domain for free.

Hypothetical example: if i buy a guest post from business2community from an author for $200, this author will let me add a 2nd link (from same domain as the first link) either for free or for an additional $20.

The question is: is this risky if i do it often? Lets say i buy 20 guest posts, and each one has 2 links back to the same specific domain (not the exact same 2 links each time) but both always from the same domain.

Will google pick up on this? Too suspicious/risky?

note: these are white hat guest posts

"note: these are white hat guest posts" Paying for links isn't white hat....

2 links is fine and if you're worried, then ask for just 1 link to your site and 1 to a referencing site, as an option.

I generally give one link to my site and a few others to relevant sites. Make it look natural, don't worry about OBL too much.

I don't add just 2 links... sometimes it's 1, sometimes it's 3 and so on... you get the drift.

The 2nd link doesn't really count anyway, so I wouldn't add it.

1 money site link, 1 relevant authority link, if it's a PBN you can add 2-3 money links, but make sure to add at least 3 authority links for each money link, also mix it up and avoid patterns.

Use the second link to link to one of your other tier 1 posts on the same topic. Or link out to authority sites that are not direct competitors. Mix it up to make it look natural. If all your linking articles only have one link it looks OD.

Mate, You wouldn’t receive any ranking reward from Google if you do this but it looks more spammy way. Like In General if a user reads an article from start, and he finds a typical word that he doesn’t know anything about it. he finds the another links and clicks on it but if it appears same words hyperlink to same page again and again it looks overwhelming. So Don’t do it unless it is very much required.
It is really important to have diversity in your link profile. However, if you have 2-3 links from one domain, it isn't terrible. Now if you have 100 links from one domain, that could be seen as spammy. I am not sure if there is a way to break these down by percentage of value, like you are referring to as Google has started to change the way it values back links. The second link on the same domain would be more valuable if it were on a different domain.

do not go with exact link building strategies. in few sites publish 3 to 4 article in few sites publish 2 article and in some sites add 1 article. in this way links looks natural.

authors always link to other authority domains, but im saying i generally have the option to link to a 2nd page from the same domain as the first link (and nothing else)
so its either a 2nd link from same domain or nothing
worth the risk?

Totally agree with some others already posted, 2 links in the same artice to the same domain looks spammy. My advice is not to do that, there will be no additional benefits for your site and looks unatural.

A well known SEO guru use it like this:

He uses just one link or in your case the second link Guest Post (Tier2) links to another Guest Post (Tier1) and that links to the Money site, this way you will avoid any suspicious, and you will get double the link juice and the (Tier1) site owner will be happy he gets a power link to his site = everybody wins.

The thing that really matters (and nobody mentioned it here yet), is whether the readers of the guest posts in question will click your links.
I'd say, if you can insert them in a natural way, in a way that at least certain percentage of readers click the links, go for it!

Why pay $200/1 link, when you can get $100($110)/1 link?

You should be completely fine.

Not really. You can get rank boost without any traffic.

I don't thing SEOs even care about direct traffic.

doesnt bother me if it looks spammy (i disagree that it looks spammy) but rather how google treats it. im guessing that like many things if it is abused then its a penalty risk but a few times is probably ok

You're giving google too much credit, it's too stupid to give a fuck

Most of them don't. but that doesn't mean that they are right.
BTW, it's referral traffic, not direct traffic.
BTW no.2, direct traffic is the most influential ranking factor (proven by countless big studies), but how to get that has nothing to do with PBN or other link building...

From my experience based on data, on-page links have diminishing returns. The more you link wiith similar date of creation point to your site from the same domain – the less value they provide. It makes sense to obtain links from the same site throughout different timespans, like, getting a mention every 3 months. In your particular situation I would go for 2 links placed like this:

The first one in the very first text paragraph of the webpage (it can be a direct URL or an anchor).
The second one on the image, anywhere on the webpage.
