I want to have 2 sites that are not related or associated in anyway in googles eyes...

Is 2 different hosting accounts, and 2 different domain registrars enough?

i heard a rumor that google can even go into your whois (private even) and find out if the 2 sites are related

what do the black hatters suggest?

Yep goog can see whois data. Use different names.
Hide all footprints.
(e.g. if you are using Google Analytics and put 2 sites in same account they will know.)
If you made custom design and use that one on many sites - they will find the design pattern.
Using same TOS / Privacy / Contact page text also make some footprint.
And so on...

Can google find us even though we use private registration for domains.


I think using same content is treated as duplicate content by google. Just a guess :(
 
Don't know if G can find private registration.

You are right - that is treated as duplicate content but that specific pages are also leaving some footprints because every site needs them.
 
i didnot think google will check your domain information.
 
so does anyone have any proof? we can say google can or cant all day long :(
 
We are paying extra to have private registration.
If a company could look in to it then the company that is offering private registration could be sued.

So no google can not look in to private registration as that would be against the law.

I'm pretty sure they CAN... one of the SEO 'gurus' mentioned it in his course, can't remember which course it was though.

Your paying so you don't get spammed by others...

So your name, address, email, phone, etc isn't available to the world (with the exception of google).

So you can sleep at night knowing an angry customer won't bite your head off! :p
 
And why would google be above the law?

Are they having some special powers to be able to see private registrations?

Really, there is no way that they can see it as it is not there business to see.

There business is to index the net, and if they don't like something they choose not to index or to deindex something that already been indexed.

They can only see how owns the domain if you add the service later on.

Even if you register and then add privacy before making a whois domian checkup then your OK still.

Because google can use there cash to see the once that got registered earlier to someone.

I always use different whois info when creating domains for different IPs. And I never use Google Analytics because I prefer Statcounter and statcounter won't ban my domain if they don't like what happens.
