So I've been kicking all sorts of a$$ recently, breaking records, quitting the 9-5 job, so on, and so forth. I thought that since I have been doing well, I should give back a couple methods that made me $ when I was first getting started. So here are 2 of them. Before you say they are played out, maybe they are, but they work. I didn't invent these methods. I got them from someone else here on BHW (sorry I don't remember who...but thanks! :D) These methods are for people who are just getting in the game, or need a little creative push to get started.

Method 1 - "I'm Sorry" CL Method - for sale / free section
s

This was the first method I ever tried. I would post in the "for sale" and "free" sections of CL, pretty much anything of value that I could find in my CPA network campaign section that had an email submit. I started with Ikea gift cards. The email submit paid $1.45 or so. I would post a $500 gift card for sale (in the furniture for sale section) for $250. In the ad I would explain that I won the card in a contest at work, but right now I needed to make rent, and that I needed the money more than I needed new furniture. Some ads I would flat out say I didnt like the furniture at Ikea. I also offered to meet them at the store to verify the balance.

My reply email -

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I just got back from selling the card. I got to my computer and found about 30 emails of people asking for this thing! I had no idea this place was so popular! Anyways, I sold it. So I'm sorry. But I found out that my manager, who gave it to me for winning the sales contest, actually got it for free. Jerk! He told me about it a few days after I won it. The thing is that you can only get one per person. Here's the link <afflink>. Anyways, I hope you can get one.

This converted like crazy. Posting a couple ads a day, and doing the replies myself, manually, I was making $75 or so per day. I did it with lots of different things, all sorts of gift cards, you can always do the free ipod or free laptop, but those are reeaaaaaallly played out. So be creative and find your own offer.

Method 2 - Myspace ewhore method

This one was really easy...I was kind of messing around at first and it ended up making me money as it got bigger. I created a female myspace acct and actually spent an hour or so creating a profile, with pics, a cute layout, added hobbies, and so on. The girl I chose was one from a free p0rn site. I saved all the pics into a folder, and cropped a few pics so that they were myspace-appropriate. I spent the time to make it look as real as possible. Then I downloaded and ran the free version of friendsblasterpro. It would automatically add 50 (male) friends per day. I did this once a day, it took me all of 1 minute to turn the program on and tell it what to do. After a couple months I had a decent friends base. I also joined every perverted group you can think of, and got lots of guys requesting me because they saw me on those group pages. So between the program I was running, and the groups, I was able to get 30 - 100 friends added per day.

Once I had a couple thousand male suitors, I would post a bulletin, with the title really simple "Wanna see my ass?" and in the bulletin I would break down a story about how I am finishing up a computer marketing class, and I need help to prove to my professor that I know what I'm doing. What we are being graded on is the amount of people we can get to our sites, and also how many sign-ups we can get. If you go to this link <afflink> and sign up (its free), I will be forever thankful, and will send you a ...erm...more revealing picture. Just msg me when you're done and dont forget to send your email address so I know where to send your pics to.

I was having them fill in insurance quote requests...but looking back, I would rather send them education requests since they pay more. Also, I would follow through and send each guy one pic. Lots of guys would ask if they can do something else for an a$$ shot, or a pu$$y shot. So I would send them another link. This method was an easy $50 per day.

__________________________________________________________

These methods work. They won't make you a millionaire overnight (if they do...I want a % :p ) but they will get you started making money. Now, in anticipation of what usually happens (avalanche of PM's) when I make a meaningful post, let me say a few things:

1) I feel that I explained the methods well enough above. If you need further explanation, please feel free to use the search button, but don't harrass me for guidance on these very simple methods.

2) CPA networks...I'm not going to say which networks I was using, for obvious reasons. I still use those networks to this day, and I intend to keep using them in the future. So if you need help getting a CPA network, again, use that friendly search button.

3) Do something! Make a CL post! Make a myspace acct! It only takes a few minutes. These methods are worthless if you don't actually try them out. Good luck!

A great post for the newcomers and newbies in CL marketing...

Thanks to OP.

Oldies but goodies. Never underestimate the power of these two methods - you'll learn many other valuable lessons along the way - including posting quality, scaling, moving over to an autoresponder... and these are things you'll need for any campaign.

Also its a good way to take these earnings from these campaigns.. and you can invest the profits for increased roi ;)

The whole "I already sold the gift card but found out my boss got it for free anyway" is a nice message for CL regardless of posting/responding to CL being an old method. I bet it converts very very nicely.

I havn't tried the second one, but the first method is overly saturated.

The missing piece of the puzzle is: what CPA program lets you advertise this way? Ya know, without a website? I'll post back when I have found the answer.

Thanks for the feedback all. Like I said, these methods aren't brand new, but they both totally work.

@ moronic kaos - the email submit method will work with any network that has email submit offers, so long as those offers allow solo email sending.

There's a few networks that are OK with emailing offers, just make sure to check the terms on the offer. I told my AM that I do some offline marketing as well and they fine with my leads. Also, don't forget about those meta refresh plugins. I've been using the WP plugin off and on and I have no problems yet.

Thank you for this tip. But may I ask..what I should tell if CPA network ask me where I get the email list..Thanks!

Hey Thanks Big H,

You just reawakened me to something similar I used to do.

Regarding Method #1:

How many days do you usually let the ad run before you respond to emails to avoid getting flagged?

This method seems like you have to spread it around a bit, before it gets too saturated and the auto-flaggers (haters) on CL start attacking.

Anyways, thanks again and keep em' coming!

I usually respond the same day I post the ad. Maybe wait 5 or 6 hours. And post in different cities, with unique ads, and you should get a decent response.

Tell them that it's a double opt-in list that you bought. If they ask where you bought it, tell them you prefer not to say, because obviously it is converting well and you prefer not to lose out on earnings.
