Years and years back, when I first got into IM, I thought to myself, this is the thing, don't need a 9-5 job, if only I can make 2k a month with IM.

When I finally hit that goal a few years later, with the monthly bills, housekeeping, living expenses and everything else, that 2k a month was not even close to enough.

Obviously, this is really based on where I live, and living expenses vary from country/state to country/state.

At least where I am living, I would need to aim at least upwards 12-15k+ a month minimum for me to "live" without changing my current lifestyle habits & for me to quit my 9-5 job.
(no, I don't do drugs, I don't party, I don't do stupid shit I once did when I was a teenager)

I'm curious to see, what about everyone else?

Is 2-3k a month really enough where you are living & with your lifestyle habits?

Shoot for 1 mil a month. If you Reach 10% of your goal you hit 100k / month.
dunno, i'm a pretty realistic person.
I could never motivate myself since I know I'll never make that kind of $ a month.
Hell, even doing real estate, I have never made more than 300k in profit from buy/selling but once again, that wasn't a month's worth of effort either.

Heck, I was considering buying some small islands lands off the coast of Australia hoping they will blow in time haha
However, considering prices has barely increased over the past 10 years, I don't know if that's such a good investment

Eastern Europe - 2/3k is just on the line to live a peaceful life.

I'm talking about paying all the bills on time without a problem + a family of 3 to 5 people can live one really nice life, with no stress.

Nothing too fancy, you can buy few things each month, save few dollars here and there, that's it.

Btw, I'm talking about families, if you/me alone that's different...

if you think it’s not possible then it’s not.

you set your own limitations.

Thats nothing, people are making tens of thousands from IM per month.

and method (2) is nothing complicated or unrealistic, so... hope I helped.

As you say, it all depends on the country/state where you live, in my country 2-3k/month is a considerable amount of money, is it enough? no, but you will live comfortably, you won't be a playboy, but your needs will be covered + some additional things ;).

That's real nice, I had a trip planned for Europe this year with the misses, but too bad that was cancelled.
Hopfully would visit out there once COVID clears up.

I am starting to believe either I spend to much or Australia prices are too jacked up

Right, mindset is one thing, but as much as you want to believe, hardwork does not equal $ & IM $ fluctuates, you would be a fool to think its stable.

P.S I don't need people telling me how/why I should make $ in IM, I make a comfortable amount from $
I'm looking at how my state for living expenses stack up against other places.

That's what I wanted to say...

@xReminisce asks for opinion and gets "you should go for a million" and "people are making $$$.$$$" like, for real?

He knows what he needs to do, he just asking for the state in your countries, no need for "extras".

In the Texas Area, I live very comfortably in a multi-family rental home with ~$5.5k per month. It's the life of an accountant though, trade life, get money.

I've added my comment because you believe you're realistic.

What is really realistic is this: You can make 2k week with your knowledge without much effort

Instead seeking for place to live with 2k, limiting yourself, you should just learn how to make money with even less effort added.

It is mine opinion and I throw it for others who think bad to see it. I don't really care much to answer your Q.

Where I live, 2k is way more than the average salary. The minimum wage is around 100$, and the average salary is around 400$ (with all taxes and social security paid).

Schools and universities are free, and hospitals too(but the quality is very very bad).

An average appartement near the capital costs around 50k, rent is about 100-200$.

Hardly enough. You have to remind yourself that it's 2021. You need to be making at least $10 million a month to be in the respectable category of these forums. Better if you can do at least $25 million per month in automated residual income.

not seeking for a place to live with 2k a month.
I don't just make 2k a month FYI.
& I am very happy where I live currently
question was clear and seems that people can't read & love to troll for attention
