2,300 views, one click. What am I doing wrong?

I'm running two regular ads on a little blog with between 1000-2000 visitors daily. They all see the ad, just not getting any clicks or sales. Any suggestions on what I can do to increase sales or clicks using the blog? The blog is tech related and so are the ads.

with little to go on I first look at where they are on the page - ie - above the "fold" (visible without scrolling down, and top right or left corners or banner placed above content. If not in these places then its worse for you. Also - how many other ways does a visitor have of leaving your site ?

Yes put your banner above your content and below your content,also make sure your banners are targeted to your traffic.

Also you may need to write better copy. Choosing the right words that suggest taking action can compel your readers to click even out of curiosity.
