$2,000 to invest!

Hey guys,

New member, long time lurker.

I have up to $2,000 to invest and was hoping to bounce some ideas around. I have tried some offline methods in the past, namely making websites for small businesses, and whilst this was beginning to take off, I just cannot sustain it properly as I currently work full time.

That's why I'm hoping to get some ideas for something I can work around my job. The only idea I have at the moment is buying pre-built niche sites and monetizing with adsense which I'm looking into, or doing something on flippa but I don't have enough knowledge for that.

Any ideas would be great or any experiences with methods that people have been successful with. No PM's please asking for JV's unless you're an established trusted member and even then I'd prefer not to go down that route.

If you are willing to do some work, and seeing as you can build sites, start a few niche sites - you have some cash so you can do it well - research, build the site get a nice lot of high quality content and put it all on schedule, then slowing start link building.

or if that's too long, look at flippa - just do some research and look for a stable site.
 
Do not invest the full amount into anything unless you are sure of what you are doing. You can lose the money very quick without getting anything significant in return.

I would spend $500 to start with, on a micro niche website as well as on quality articles to be promoted on revenue sharing websites such as squidoo, hubpages and infobarrel. Spend money on articles (look for quality articles but do not overpay for them). Also, spend money on backlinking but only on reliable services.

I think the former option would be a good idea but for my job to be honest. I'm interested in flippa but I think buying a good site and a good price (there's probably a lot of people on there that can will beat me to good sites because of their knowledge) will be difficult.

Yeh definitely; I may even invest $500 in four different methods and see which brings the most returns after 3 - 6 months. I may even buy 3 micro niche sites, provide steady content over a few months and see how much they bring in; my only worry is that it'll be $1-3 a day at most which will mean I'll break even after many months.
 
I would target a few niche sites that you have knowledge in. Use some of your budget to get people to write amazing articles for you. From there, you'll have to decide the best route to go. That's a lot of money to invest, so you have a lot of options. You could also look into teaming up with somebody that is more knowledgeable.
 
Do a niche site- or maybe a mini authority site, for which there are lots of providers here.
do a CPA landing page site - think IamNRE offers that as a service, and do a amazon Magento site - jahren here offers that.

then you have some diversity. The above will probably be $500 total. Spend another $200 on content for all three (get good stuff).

spend another $300 on link building, then you have only invested 50%, you have a diverse portfolio, and you can let them run for a month or two, then invest the remaining 1k in whatever has proved most successful:-)
 
Make 4 CPA sites and invest only in content, no backlinks. Make sure your On site SEO is godlike and interlink pages within your site(s). Don't have all the posts on the product/service you are promoting, 50% will be enough. The rest of the post make sure they are somewhere close to your niche, you can add a few that are not close to your niche. You should start seeing traffic and conversion pretty fast. Now don't imagine this works for hard competition keywords, be realistic. Cheers!
 
Thanks for the ideas guys; I will definitely think about launching a variety of sites and seeing which is most profitable, but I'm not sure if maintaining them via constant seo work will become a little too time consuming. Although I'll probably end up outsourcing it all.

Any more ideas would be great.

Purchase bulk email sending solutions, purchase some quality leads list and promote the related offers to the lists, there is no way you could fail, that's really the only way to start getting your money back overnight.

Read for paid advetisment like CPA on this forum. And go with small amount first you should have at least 1% conversion from your ads or you are doing it wrong.

You should only outsource it once you get around to setting up a stable traffic. You will have a tough time if you depend on the people you outsource to.
