2.0 Linkwheel example - Is this old school now?

What do you guys think? Do these strategies work anymore/ worth the effort or expense?

Phase 1 Requirements:
1. Each linkwheel content has to be rewritten (spun) manually to be 20% different. Content has to be readable. I will provide initial content.

Phase 2 Requirements:
Create 20 profiles on Social Network sites. Do not mention the company, just mention the generic services.

Phase 3 Requirements:

Using videos, pictures, and rewritten articles: create interesting profiles on each Web 2.0 site. Link to 3-5 other Web 2.0 properties.

This is all pre-panda stuff. It still works, but only in combination with a more diverse link building strategy.

All links are good as far as I'm concerned. Just don't build 10,000 links in one day.

A lot of people have heard what Google plans to do. Nobody knows for certain except them.


What you all feel is a more diversified link building strategy? I would think something like this but with unique, relevant content would still work.

You need to randomise stuff as much as possible. Do not fix the sites for T1, T2 or T3. Have the list of sites in a txt file, create links from any 4-5 of them for tier 1, then any other 4-5 for tier 2 and so on.

OMG you guys are giving G way too much credit. Keep building links and don't worry about what Google is doing. As log a you spread your link building across many many methods, you'll be fine. If one of your methods goes to junk (like ALN) then your other links will pick up the slack and your site won't drop as bad.

The real problem is people building links with only one method. ALN people that only used ALN got so hammered.

IMO linkwheels do still work. but you must put a little twist on it. since google "somehow" detect how these link wheel works they are keeping an eye on those overused web 2.0 sites. specially on tier 1. Instead of using those tier 1 sites above. might try the "drag and drop" sites (e.g. weebly, yola, webs, etc...) or better yet try using (page.tl, 20fr.com, 2itb kind of sites) for your tier 1. Use the unconventional process, dont follow others link wheel CREATE your own variation of it. It is just a matter of trial and error. Eventually you will get the right combination of website for each tier.
