1st rank on google?

I wanted to know how it's possible to rank 1st on google for a keyword. Sorry if this sounds a little "newbish" but I've actually been around for quite a while. I want to hear some feedback about what people think are methods for ranking #1 for keywords that are like 100million results on google. Someone from the services for sale told me I should try to make a link wheel and blast each spoke with xrumer. Can anyone give me their own feedback? thanks!

Yes link wheel is very effective. I've been trying this for several months and it gives good results. Building links consistently can make your site number 1 sooner although it takes several months to do it before you can get good results.

wow, several months. Thats a long wait. How big are the payouts exactly. I dunoo the waiting game to see IF you get pay is what always has kept me away from trying to cash in on google search traffic.
