I doubt blogs were there 18 years ago, and if he started then, now he'd be much bigger. Btw I think that $100 per day from 3k visitors is not quite bad.

My daughter hand coded her first "about me" page at age 4 by learning HTML, so do you mean you're late?
Or you mean you are on your way since the 20 y/o owners of myyearbook.com sold it for $100 millions? 2 years remaining though...

OMG! I am 23 and one of our site gets 1 million hit per month....lol..Joking(not the number of traffic part).
Here is the advice: If you are making $60-$100 per day then move on to new blog. Use your current traffic to promote new blogs and be sure to host everything on your hosting(not on tumblr or anywhere else.) The reason behind starting a new blog along with the new one is "You can't milk as much as you want, you can milk as much as there is". I mean the marginality of profit.

Well on tumblr, it's a fact that if you're tumblr famous it would be because your posts are actually very meaningful and you reblog a lot. Tumblr followers are much more dedicated than any other followers I think now, it's just that since you have your own domain they don't see it on their dashboard anymore...?
