1600 twitters following - how to monetize?

I have around 1600 people following me on Twitter but whenever I post I get less than 10 who go and have a look, I have tried different twits - no spam - bit spammy - etc but I just can't get anyone interested in anything I say.

To my mind Twitter is the most useless pile of sh*t ever, I know I am doing it all wrong but what should I do?

I've done some research, and people who read twitter are based around the following keywords.

Careers and Jobs <--- Huge thing on Twitter currently
Computers <--- Very popular
Electronics & Gadgets <--- Very popular

As for Fashion, Health, and Fitness, you will find less users who like talking about their weight or their hair styles since it's a bit "too" personal.

What is your Twitter followers market? Like did you add people based around a specific keyword?
 
Thanks mate, yeah I targeted make money online type keywords thinking that would be profitable.
 
If that's the case, use RevTwt and get all the Financial, Career/Jobs, and Make Money offers, put them all on there daily.

Talk about how you use certain tools and methods and mask them with their shortURL tool, and do that with every single post, something they allow.
 
Try PPC ads (like from Revtwt) and get the ones that target your niche...though to be honest the conversions aren't great.
Anyone tried Be-a-Magpie? I got a new gadget-related Twitter with 1000 followers but they haven't found me a campaign :(.

Twitter sucks, I mean seriously if you had a random person who you did not know on Facebook friend you and then their status was "GET MORE FACEBOOK FRIENDS...BIY.LY/SJKDFJKSDFH" would you click on it? Even if you did, would you buy it?
 
i have yet to make money on twitter as well. i heard that 10k followers is the low end for monetizing. based on my experience i think there is truth in that. So dont bother till you hit 10k followers.
 
I have around 2000 followers and haven't made a bean either- I just don't see the point in it- it reminds me of the old FFA pages, where everyone is trying to market to each other- I have zero interest in other peoples 'tweets'...why should they be bothered with mine? I don't get it!!

I have reached my min payout limits before I ban.;)

To be honest I'm waiting for the hammer any day now, been trying some proxy clicks.
 
I'm inclined to agree, the vast majority are just trying to flog you something. Perhaps the best thing is if you do post tweets from your blogs and do the odd personal tweet as I do you can build a reasonable number of followers in a short time (I have 200+). Coupled with this the PR of my profile is 4which at least gives a good backlink for my blogs.
 
1600 followers is like 16 followers in terms of making money from your twitter account, you need more accounts, more followers, researched niche's to promote, targeted followers.

Tweak your account until you get the desired results.

**Stop posting links in your tweets with hope that someone clicks on it and make a purchase, create a profile of a beautiful woman and put your product link on your profile page. Make associated tweets of your product WITH NO LINKS.

Apply basic SEO format to your account meaning: keyword rich tweets, keyword rich profile, keyword targeted followers.


It's getting harder to create money from twitter daily because everyone is doing the same thing and it's becoming saturated, a traffic jam of people doing the same shit. Think outside the box and be different don't appear to come off like everyone else and you will make sales, this is 2009 not 2007 making money with twitter is simple you just need to put in a little bit more work to make it smooth.

Shouldn't blackhatters know math to count their money?

Last time I checked 0.20% means 0.2 in 100.

Multiply that by 5 and you have 1 in 500 people.

So for 1600 followers that will make about 3 clicks.

Let's say 4 for the sake of argument.

From 4 to 320 it's a long road.



No hard feelings @G00B3R. We all make mistakes. But I found this quite funny.
