Hi everyone, My rupp16 here, I am a 16 year old kid from Michigan trying to make a living in IM. I discovered affiliate marketing about 6 months ago, and I never seriously considered it until about a month ago. Since then I've been reading as many blogs, watching as many Youtube videos as possible on it, just doing whatever I can to figure out how to make some money with affiliate marketing. I don't want to work some boring McDonald's job or some boring retail job like most kids my age do. I would say I'm slightly smarter than the average kid my age (I go take all honors and AP classes) and since I'm in school they teach research so I have thoroughly looked into IM and decided the affiliate marketing is what I want to do.

I understand how it works: you find your niche, then drive traffic using ppc, cpa, seo, or others. You get this traffic to a landing page or squeeze page, and get there contact information so you can follow up with more products, or if they don't buy then try and re-market the product to them. From what I understand e-mail lists are very a very important part of IM and affiliate marketing. After you get their info, you send them to the affiliate product and hopefully they buy and you get paid for each sale. I've signed up for 3 affiliate programs; amazon, clickbank, and Commision Junction.
I've done the most research on clickbank, because digital products are less complex. From what I've seen most people use a ppc with clickbank such as bing ads, google adwords, facebook marketing, youtube, or other social media. They drive the traffic to landing pages to get info then convert it into sales.

Now actions speak louder then words with most things and the way to prove you know something is to get results, unfortunately that is where I have failed. Despite having some knowledge of affiliate marketing I have not been able to make a single dollar online. I think a big part of the problem is that I have no capital to invest into anything. I'm trying to do everything for free because I don't want to spend any money, what I would like to do is figure out how to make a few bucks with out spending anything then I'm going to reinvest all the money I make back into more ad campaigns but for now I need to find a way to make some money without spending anything.

What I've been trying to do is promote this product called yoga burn on clickbank just search "heryogasecrets" and you'll find the website. (I can't post links yet)

So I've been promoting it on Facebook and pintrest. I've made a yoga facebook account and joined some groups but there aren't very many in the yoga niche, but I haven't looked into any "weightloss" or just health groups/pages which I assume there are quite alot of thought most are probably just ads because every affiliate marketer in the world promoting health products uses facebook groups
Then I created a pintrest about yoga and fitness and created about four boards with quite a few pins and I'm going to keep posting there because my account got pretty good response for the minimal amount of effort I've put into it. One thing I understand is that pinterest is really cracking down on posting links so you have to have a picture that you put on pintrest on your landing page so people can get to your page right from pintrest by clicking on the image. Which is a problem because I don't have a landing page because I don't want to spend any money but I could always create a landing page with wordpress, wix, or weebly. Probably not the best option though.
Things that I'm considering doing to promote the product:
Franklin's auto tumblr idea with qplus
Make a youtube video about it/ start a yoga youtube channel and post other's content(not the best idea)/pay to have big accounts put my link in the description of there videos(after i make some profit)
I heard that bing ads gives you a free 50 dollars on signup? maybe try running some campaigns on that? I'd have to learn how to do keyword research first to get a low cpc .1-.01
    facebook advertising?
    start an instagram account?
commenting on yoga blogs and other thnigs like facebook.
    Start a blog?
So that my plan of action for the future. Any tips? Other ways to drive targeted traffic for free? Anything?
Also what should be the first things that I do after I have some money? Invest in a real website? More ppc? other things I haven't thought of?

    Everything is appreciated.

    Thanks!!

I think you have a great niche their. Suppliments and weight loss would cross sell really well with yoga. If you can get some cheap fiverr giggs for yoga demostrations from a YT channel, push to a FB group for "special content and deals". promote from their. With fitness related niches I found offline products (shipped etc) actually work better than pushing online gym memberships etc.

    Good luck :)

When I first started out my biggest problem was time. It can be demotivating spending hundreds of hours for little ROI but just think of it all as a learning curve :)
