So these type of 'buying intent' KWs are no good? Bummer because I just paid money for a pack of Amazon keywords and two of them were these 'under $xxx' types.

Is it worth taking a risk? If I'm banned, how difficult is getting a reconsideration from Amazon?
 
Simple and short, If they want to Ban you they give you 1K odd reasons and catch you in their policies somehow and close your account. So even if you do everything right you may get banned... I have seen very dumb sites and FB ads running which are violating their policies every day but those sites are still running....... strange. but true
