Exactly, you nailed it on the head. There were amazing opportunities in those days, especially the opportunity to be killed by someone who takes all of your wealth, while no one else gives a shit. I so hate having these people who protect us from such a thing every happening.

For anyone who says they would love to have lived back in those days you likely wouldn't. People were killed for no reason, things were taken from you and you couldn't do a thing about it(including members of your family), and most nights you wouldn't have been able to get a good night of sleep, because you were up all night thinking someone was going to break into your house (or area) and murder everyone.

But you are right. ButcherPete hasn't left the apartment complex enough to know what is and isn't available. I can look out of my window now (since I'm on top of a mountain) and see many undeveloped places ready for off-grid living.

If you want it, its out there for you but as deviatus said, most of you would be dead by 10.

But one thing I liked about yesteryear is that America had real men. Not sissy men wearing girly Toms Shoes, pink shirts, and skinny jeans.
