150$/week playing WoW

I've never shared my knowledge with bhw. I'm going straight to the point:
I started using a bot in WoW 4/5 years ago, that was for personal purposes. Farming gold was the task i asked my bot to do the most, ok. Everyone knows there is a big black(chinese) market around games currencies. Because people don't want to farm their gold they don't have the time, they rather buy it with $. I wanted to sell my gold because i didn't want to play at this time. So i found a client and he bought me for like 60$, that ammount came on my paypal and i felt like i had nothing to do for that.


There are 2 kinds of clients for gold farmers like me, we can sell directly to:
InGame client, the thing is that they are hard to find, you have to post on forums and its time consuming but its worth because they pay you more than Chinese Network, I call them like that because everytime i ask them where they come from, they answer me : China. that's the only reason. The guys are buying gold like all the time because they resell it to InGame Clients that landed on their websites. In order to take their cut, they buy my gold for a lower value.


I do this because this is what i call a Super-Niche. WoW is super high populated game wich means High Traffic. There is always demand for gold(pick high populated server). this is not paying that well but it Pays for hosting, domain name, vps, software or hiring a freelancer without personal invest, that's good to me. Actually i have 4 bots, i've automated all the process i just have to push a button and everything starts (sometimes it crashes of course). This is a lot of configuration before it can be auto.


Cons:
Getting banned from the game developer for using third party software (you have to know what you do)
Gold value can decrease or increase: this is an unstable market. you will always make a profit but not the same everytime.
Botting & Game knowledge: the most you know the game, the most you know how to use the bot, the most you earn.


Pros:
There is almost demand everytime if u have good resources.
This is a set & forget system. you can let the bot run while you're sleeping or building backlinks!


The software i use is HonorBuddy andI wanted to share with you pictures on this post but i'm a Newbie. I think i can answer to most of your questions around this topic if u are interesed let me know. That's all folks!

Transfer assets between servers and easily consolidate accounts and merchant those on sites like PlayerAuctions so you don't have to worry too much about bannings or cut-offs from ban waves.

How much outlay do you spend getting $150 pw?

Farming gold, something to set up when you are bored. It is easy to profit with the software and a few spare PCs/dedis.

i get the concept, used to played wow ...but you need to be max lvl to do this correct? or is this something you can do with a low level character?

The game costs around 40$, monthly subscription(15$), Bot licence(20$ lifetime) = 75$ / setup
(This is a default setup, there are many variations, you can buy less then that without paying for the expansion as an example)

These are 4 setups.

To give you an example, i didn't want to pay for the expansion for my 4th bot, so i bought what they call a Battlechest, basically you can get all the previous content (Mysteries of Pandaria and so) and you are capped to the lvl 90.
My lvl 90 character farms dungeons all day long and resell whatever he gets. and it is still viable.

1. How many monthly subscriptions and how many bots you have running to make 150$ per week?

2. Do you farm 24/24 or a certain amount of hours per day? I mean what is safe regarding bans? Did you have any bans so far and if yes, why they happened?

3. Do you sell to inGame clients or chinese market to make 150$ per week? If the second, any resources (website or forums) where you sell the gold?

1) 4 monthly subs atm, i make 150$/w with 3 bots, just bought the 4th.

2) I've already been banned for using bad settings on the bot. My character was doing inhuman movement or tries to run into a wall for 2 hours straight. other players see that and reported me. and i knew it.
to me its not a loss since you can rebuilt one very fast. configuring the bot to make him act like a human prevent you from 80% risks, 10% risk is the time you are connected, 10% other players report.
You can have 1 72h ban, the second one is permanent, and its better not wasting time with customer service. I don't really have a schedule for botting, i start it then i leave it for 19h straight, sometimes i don't for 2 days. I could do better but i'm a lazy ass!

3) I sell to IG clients if they show up after i've posted an offer on forums. i make 150$ mostly with chinese, means you can do better if u know how to reach clients.
I Sell my gold to MMOBuyer, google it.

hey! I'm running the game on low resolution and settings for your information, with a i5 3,4G, 8Gb ram, 660GT, nothing special...

have you considered selling gold to people who play on private servers? you might be less likely to get banned since it's not official wow

I don't know any private server that can host 200k players. and i don't think they are going to buy gold since they don't pay for a monthly subscription.

I did something something like this with Metin2. There was an event last year when world soccer championships were around. I had 0 knowledge of the game, but my friend played it a lot and introduced it to me. During the event, soccer balls dropped like hell from mobs and some players where buying them few hundred at the time. I downloaded a bot, set up 5 of them. Unfortunately I didn't fully utilized the event, I started 2 weeks after it started, that left me with 2 weeks of botting. But during that 2 weeks I generated maybe $300 worth of game currency in 2 weeks and that is a lot for me 2 weeks since I live in a poor country (it's more than the minimal salary). But it wasn't that easy, I mean set and go. I watched the bots from time to time. I got up at 4 - 5am to check how they are doing and transferred the balls to other accounts in case admin would show up. It was scratching hot and I had to sleep with noisy computer running without cover. Unfortunately I got only half of the money I could get. At first I sold some of the currency for half the price because I really needed money. The other mistake I made, I got tricked. I was stupid and new to paypal and I lost something like $150 worth of game currency.

Can vouch for this. Was doing decent with 8 accounts running about 18 hours a day on avg

can also vouch for honorbuddy, really great community and a lot of people developing addons for it

Something I've never been able to keep up with is getting the accounts to 90 in a reasonable time, any tips on the fastest way? I've got it down to around 4 days per account and could probably do it much faster if i went 24 hours but I'm afraid of being banned instantly

I seem to spend more time levelling the accounts than getting use out of them for gold selling!

start by creating a dark knight, you will start from lvl 55, there are awesome questing profiles for leveling up fast with honorbuddy. Also items with +%xp are a good thing if u have some on your account.

how the hell to you level those accounts so fast? As i remenber, the experience gains in official wow is very slow...and do you use a computer per account? or the same computer with proxies? im just trying to figure how does this work...
