So post penguin and panda, many people have been giving up on MNS (micro niche sites). While many small sites have been getting hit - we're still doing pretty well with them (just over $3000 from adsense alone in June - search WSOtesters in Google to find our blog). One of our top earning sites still ranks with only a few links from UAW (though we've since discontinued using it). So how many others are still having great success with MNS?

Congrats for your success! Micro Niche Sites have been great to us too. Both our personal ones and the ones we have built for our clients.

You're building micro niche sites for clients? That's an interesting concept. Do they buy it first, and then you build it? How do you figure what to charge for that?

Thats good to hear. I just opened 5 of them. How many articles on average do you put on your MNS sites?

Right now we start off with one article of 1000 words. Then we add a couple more 500 word articles if the site proves to be a winner.

You can determine a winning site with just 1 page?

From experience they are still good, but more difficult. I improved most of my micro niche sites by adding content and now are working better.

What other ways are you monetizing (other than adsense)?

Thanks

Well, we've tried Amazon a little, but for the most part the micro niche sites are monetized with just adsense.

Yea, despite what many people say, from experience we know that 1 page sites can rank at the top of the search engines for low competition keywords. However, they likely won't last for too long if you don't start adding content. We actually forgot to add content to one of our sites and it stayed ranking #2 for over 2 months with only a single article. We have since added content to that site.

Nice job dude! How many sites do you have? I used to make a lot of adsense money before selling most of my sites and moving elsewhere, but Ill never forget that feeling of looking into your account and seeing money pouring in. Its addictive ^^

Everything was going well until my adsense account was banned for no reason :( I love MNS but i don't know if i can start again.

Yeah, I'm curious as to how many sites you have as well.

I was busting $1,000+ each on a couple of sites before Penguin got me, plus far more across another 10 sites or so. I'm thinking about targeting lower level sites for less competition and aiming to scale.

Let us know how you are doing it!

We have close to 200 sites right now. Yea, I feel like eventually we'll move on to building our private blog network and then ranking some bigger sites, but it's definitely a great start up for us :)

We pretty much show a lot about how we do it on our blog if you search "wsotesters" you'll find us. Penguin hasn't touched any of our sites as far as I can tell. But I believe the way we're building links is a lot less spammy then a lot of other people, and the competition that we shoot for is lower.

How many searches and CPC does it have for your money site?

Pics or it didn't happen...

There's nothing interesting with that concept. That "concept" has been around for YEARS. Go to BST section, and you'll see many folks offering those kind of sites here.

MNS are great to earn constant money but it is not easy as you think. Need continuous SEO and strategies to withstand for Algo changes.

My network was hit and I'm back to zero, was doing great before Penguin, Now totally confused as to move further with the old ones or start new ones.

200 sites up and you are only clearing 150$/day. Im assuming that you are building out at a fast pace and do not have the time yet to build out all 200 sites.

I see that you have discontinued using some sites, care to give them to me? :)

Will you not get banned since all you have is a huge network of thin mfa sites ?:confused: Are you using same adsense account on all sites?
