a bit a shame you need 15 posts before you can send private messages and stuff.. difficult to get in contact with people

Yes shame of forum it does not let you spam.

If you want to get in contact you can create a thread as well as you did know or post at lounge.

regards
teo

What's shame about it if you are really into forum then make some contribution before start using it's feature that seem ok to me

It is a shame you are not able to contribute without getting an angered.
I know the feeling man, this is done to avoid spams, automated and manuals.

So just go ahead and contribute, the limitation will be lifted, unless you are here for a quick spam? Your account will be no more. BHW has zero tolerance for spammers.

15 posts is hardly back breaking work. if your too lazy to get that done, don't pm me.

in fact don't pm me anyway I fecking hate it when I get pm'd for no real purpose

The requirements are high af

Your weird.....I been on forums that require 25-30 posts before you can PM.....

15 posts well I will probbaly get that in less then 5 days ;D

ProTIp You could go post in the lounge a bit.

The 15 posts prevents spamming.

It takes 15 minutes to create 15 posts (as the forum limits everyone to 1 post per minute). Granted, they probably won't be of any quality and they may get deleted if you're posting that quickly (i.e., spamming), so if you spend 4 minutes to read each thread and type up a response, it'll only take an hour to get to 15 posts.

This is done to prevent indolent bot owners and spammers from sending PMs to every member on the forum.

It's a SMALL safeguard against ignorant spammers who think they can spam a black hat forum. Make 15 quality posts, you can do that in one hour just by causally browsing the forum.

No, they really aren't. Your drive is just low as fuck.

I do not know, if this is something that can be done without touching the forum software too much:
Requesting to have 15 posts with a minimum length of xx words.

I am subscribing to many threads and it is a pain in the *** to receive lots of messages with only "thanks bro for the method". These newbies do not really read because sometimes this text absolutely does not make sense at all or fits the thread context. All they are doing is bloating the thread.

I mean, yes, there are forums, which are way worse - but here it is also a "trend" to have to fight through all these post count increasing newbie posts.

This.

As well as people proclaiming their subscription to a thread. You don't even automatically subscribe to a thread by replying, so there's no point, it's just an excuse to shitpost.

A good solution would be to limit people with 15-50(100?) posts only being able to message one new user a day, rather than a single message because that would admittedly be annoying.

Are Jr VIPs moderated before approval? I've seen the odd spammer buy themselves a membership and they could be selling anything of value there for peanuts elsewhere.

No, the only requirements to become a Jr. VIP are to have 100 posts and $97 as well as an account that is 60 days old.
