OP you got the answer., this can be done if your page post is shared by big pages and there reach are increasing .
Not a big deal if you have big pages !!

Talking about means how many persons associated in that fanpage in the form of likes, share's, comments, etc.,
Talking about increases when a post go viral and it has several shares and comments. Another reason may be because of payed add's.
You can see the numbers decreases when viral factor stopped working.

Thanks added. I own the Facebook page /applegiveawaycenter I bought for dirt cheap a few days ago and it's dead, I was planning on using it for spam and to increase my own talking about this. So should I just share my own posts? I just obtained this page on Tuesday.

Page have fake likes filled in with., Your page have likes from those countries who don't even know English !!
It is very difficult to get talking about high now., But you never know .,
Just try posting on other pages and ask for S4S.
When you get your talking about then Join Few Group where people do S4S with pages then you only you can make this page active !!

Viral content you posted. You can narrow it down by checking your posts and see how many people "saw this post". The post that that had lots of people see it is your viral content that caused the bump.
