14 January 2012 Panda update

I wonder if this is not a way to keep SEO guessing all the time. Panda this panda that...Surely for every site that goes down another goes up. So question is why the worry everytime. Google can't do anything about good content, good links and visitors from twitter and facebook...Trying to second guess google everytime is a waste of time in my opinion.

Mine all seem to be ok today.

This Panda update ain't all black & white....(Sorry...!)

3 sites hit bad.....3 sites showing improvements.....but all 6 using exact same SEO and linking stratagy.....

Beats the hell outa me..........

What are the differences? Age, authority, content?

All same age (Registered on the same day)
All using 90% spun different articles.
All have 1000 + indexed 'long tail' pages.
Each page similar with 3 articles, 3 images and 1 video.

Just shouldn't be happening..........

I am seeing very good movements. Today finally 1th. position for my main keyword. Before that ranked 3-5th. position.

I have seen some movements for the more competitive keywords...however nothing for the smaller keywords

Thanks for all your answers. I am certain that that a Panda update happened on 14 January. We all have to understand that there are many, many small/minor Panda updates that don't affect the majority of the websites. Panda is still small (a baby).

I've seen some changes today also, so probably there are some small updates happening all the time.


I am watching certain niches all day long and mostly they seem locked for weeks, but from time to time small movements happen (no big updates since 28 September - 14 October 2011).


One thing that makes me curios that there are tons of spammy websites on the web right now and Google is doing nothing about them. What are they waiting with their Panda update?

All ranking changes aren't Panda related.

The changes you are noticing could be related to a tweak of the Freshness Update that was launched on November 3, or it could be something either than Panda.
